Even if it is work related, I hope you have fun and enjoy yourself! 🙂
Happy Birthday!
I have 7 Sitting Griffin Chicks. I purchased them because I thought they were cute, not because I collect Griffins or that particular sculpt. Then my next largest quantity is 3 Adult Male Griffins, and 3 Pebble Arctic Foxes.
I don’t really collect any specific category of creature, just purchasing what pieces call to me, so my collection has some Griffins, Ki-Rins, Unicorns, Dragons, Griffins, Flap Kitties, Poads, etc.
Though, I love the pebble line so I imagine I’ll get at least one of each sculpt (still waiting for a production Tanuki…). And I’m always on the hunt for more animals from Melody’s original animal line.
So many pretty foxes! This sculpt is really, really lovely and a lot of different colors/patterns seem to suit it.
I’m kicking myself for not picking up the African Wild Dog too.
Hopefully, if enough of us press the “Notify When Back In Stock” button on the AWD Sitting Red Foxes, then maybe someday another batch will be painted.
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!
Originally, I was really bummed that I ordered a Grab Bag sitting fox instead of the AWD one. So much so, before my grab got here I was already starting to feel disappointment and regret. However, he arrived today, and man is my mood uplifted. He’s adorable! Still would like an AWD in addition, but I’m no longer feeling sorry for myself. I dashed outside and took a few snapshots as it started raining (that’s what the water marks on the backdrop are about).
It’s great to read that you can find humor in the situation.
Those sitting foxes are lovely!
Congratulations!

Neat!
I never said I was blaming Windstone for anything. I was simply making the observation that Windstone’s production has ramped up (GBs and otherwise) and it’s my guess that people are more interested in spending their limited funds on things done officially by Windstone rather than things painted unofficially by forum and non-forum painters.
And to be honest, the pre-painted PYOs that Windstone sold on eBay still sold (some for more than what forum members ask for) as opposed to forum member’s PYO pieces. -shrugs- But the people bidding on eBay aren’t necessarily the people on the forum. And it’s cool if they can get something officially painted by Windstone for cheaper than a normal production piece.
Personally, I also hope the PYO line doesn’t go anywhere. Most of my Windstone collection is made up of PYOs. I enjoy the opportunity to get a more complex paint scheme for a more affordable price.
I never said you were blaming Windstone. I’m reading defensiveness with that sentence, although that wasn’t my intent with my post. Like you, I have an opinion about the selling of painted PYOs on Ebay and was backing it up with my own observations (like this is not a new practice; what the pieces are going for; etc. ).
Anyways, if I mistook your tone with your reply, then my bad. I’ll avoid posting further in your thread so I don’t steer it where you don’t want it to be. *Insert peace symbol emote here* =P
Happy Belated Birthday!
