I got my trades in. They are each much more green than I expected. They have a new house, and some friends to hang out with. Still kinda bummed I didn’t manage to get one of the gold and white koi oris. I am looking forward to picking up a couple more of these guys in production colors, like white and shell pink. It seems I already have a “pastel rainbow” one. 😛

I can’t pick a favorite color out of the ones i have, but I can from colors I don’t have: the test paint blue ice. I would love to have that one. Like, really, really badly.
However, I definitely like the sitting better than the rising. The rising spectral’s chest sticks out a lot and his torso looks too bulbous to me. The wing seems too small for it. With the sitting one, these aspects are minimized. I see more wing compared to the rest of the body which I like. It just looks more neat and tidy to me.
These are the six colors I have, and I think they are all great. I have emerald in the male dragon sculpt, which has a similar shape, but I do not want it in spectral. I like the contrast of the red eye with the emerald paint. The crystal eye does not make me interested in getting an emerald spectral.

My photography skills are not showing well this time. The colors have proven very, well, shifty! The fur and stomach & spine scales are a rich teal that’s always teal, but shifts blue-teal to green-teal depending on lighting.
That is an incredible intense teal! He’s kind of making the two young dragons look boring or humdrum. 😉

My delivery date was pushed back to Monday. It’s on the truck for delivery but UPS doesn’t deliver on Saturday??? WTH????
I’ve never known them to.
ETA: I just saw Lisa’s reply that they do. Maybe it depends on location. The UPS center near me is not open on Saturdays at all.
I do live near an airport, so I’ve got all the delivery hubs practically next door. I know I’ve seen the brown trucks going around on weekends. Google says UPS does “ground” service on Saturdays, but I guess it could still be dependent on location as you say.

Of course UPS delivers on Saturday!Here is my koi. Like Setsunawolf, I like him better this morning than last night, but it will be up for trade in hopes of getting one I like even better. It is not yet available, because someone else is mulling it over. I am waiting to hear back on yea or nay.
He is very lightly sprayed on the scales with a fine mist of black, which makes him look like he is covered in soot. This has dampened down the intensity of the yellow color.
The top of the head has a lot of silver on top of the black. In the sunlight, I can see more silver on the larger black scales than I did last night indoors.

Both emerald, but slightly different intensity of color. Very interesting. Damaged one is the darker one on the left. My more recent one, on the right, has the remnants of a price tag sticker on the bottom, so it was bought from a store.
Damage vs no damage on tail.

She’s pretty in an over-the-top kind of way! Some people really like the rainbows. You should be able to get a good trade.
