Thanks 🙂 Unfortunately, it wasn’t all great. I worked a 9 hour shift during which I found out that my request to transfer when I move was declined. So, I’ll be looking for a new job when I move at the end of the month. It ended great though; my boyfriend took me out to an early dinner after work and then we had a quiet night at home.
We are also talking about trying the original idea of having them polished with wax instead of painted, the way they were intended to be finished.
We couldn’t give them a polish finish when the pebbles were first introduced because the castings weren’t coming out nice enough.
They would be white, with grey flecks from the sand in the gypsum, like the Maya Hill pieces. These would be “feelies”, with no pads. They feel realllly nice!I love this idea. I have a small stone piece, and I love holding it. I’d love to be able to hold my pebble animals too without worry.
My boyfriend ordered a fox as part of my birthday gift, but since we’re moving at the end of the month, we had it shipped to my mothers house instead of here. So I won’t get to see it until Sept. 4th. My brother was visiting my mom when it came in though, and he opened it and said it was brownish….wouldn’t send me a pic though! lol so I have a long wait until I get to post pics of mine.
I got my Fuzzies a few days ago. My swap partner sent me a whole family of them! What am I going to do?! I’m out of chocolate! I wasn’t expecting to have to feed a whole family!
The story is cute:
“Fairy Fuzzies live outside of the entrance to the Labyrinth, before the Goblin City and the Castle where Jareth the Goblin King rules. These fuzzies must have lost their way, and took a liking to my pink azalea bushes in my front yard…I had to use a big butterfly net to catch them…”

And Ciarnet, I’m glad you like your fuzzy, I just had to do something with that pretty scrap of butterfly fabric, I couldn’t throw it away 🙂
I got my tax return a couple days before the second batch came out!
The blue from my boyfriend I’ve already shown, the copper/purple/black I bought from a forum member, and the green and black/yellow/copper were bought from the second batch 🙂
I couldn’t afford to buy one this time around, but my boyfriend took pity on me and bought me one ^^
