Thanks Stephanie 🙂 I have added 2 new pix with a better camera. I have 1 more horse to paint, and I’m deciding what pattern to do, hmm…
PYO’s used to be sold with the eyes already glued in. I wouldn’t recommend trying to remove the eyes as that could cause damage. You can try using a masking fluid that you can paint over the eyes so that they will be protected from paint. You then remove the film from the eyes when you are done painting and everything should look good. Hope this helps.
Wow, I am love the colors on that phoenix… very well done, and the dragon is lovely too 😀
Updated with new horse 🙂
Thanks Bodine, I will ride again. My boyfriend took his bike on a 6 hour ride to northern Wisconsin with no problem at all last summer. While, the short ride we took around the block a week ago ended up being potentially hazardous. There is no doubt that bikers have to be cautious just as much as drivers of cars need to be aware of what is going on around them.
Haha, thanks for the Cracked article. I’ve always enjoyed the no holds barred way they talk. And of course #2 You Cease to Exist sounds disturbingly familiar.
May 26, 2011 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Orientals and USPS dont mix, another destroyed Windstone(and a bonus damaged OW) #846331Oh my, I’m really sorry that happened to you. I would love to own an oriental dragon one day myself, but now I don’t want to get one on ebay…
Thanks! I’d like to try a more complex pattern next time. Maybe I’ll try a buckskin or appaloosa.
I think I might just get that sticker. I am rarely ever on a motorcycle, but I do drive my car every day. This incident helps to remind me to be wary of motorcycles, bikes, etc on the road. We’ve all gotta share the road 🙂
WOW! The detail is so amazing! Did you study animal anatomy to be able to draw in such detail? Bears are so cool too. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Hmm, I have way too many interests. Some of my main guilty pleasures are watching episodes of old TV shows like Golden Girls, Nash Bridges, The X-Files, Mr. Show, etc. I also love to read and I am currently addicted to The Redwall series. I am about halfway done with those books. I also love archery and enjoy being out in the woods shooting at targets. Today I hope to start airbrushing some Breyer horses I just bought, I get such pleasure out of airbrushing and seeing how things turn out.. Yes, and eating chocolate… and the occasional Big Mac, which I know is so bad but tastes so good sometimes. Yah, that’s some of my guilty pleasures…
I started airbrushing last summer. I have an Iwata airbrush. I own The Ultimate Airbush Handbook which you can find on Amazon. This is an amazing book with beautiful photos. It talks about airbrushing on paper, sculptures and many other mediums. I started airbrushing sculptures and did one pyo keeper dragon using airbrush. It is really a lot of fun and you can get some amazing results. The book I mentioned as well as various airbrushing forums can help you with what you need. You need to have the correct paint or mix paint to be the correct thickness so it will spray from the airbrush. You need to know how to clean the airbrush well, among other things. You also need a good air compressor which I’m not sure if you have yet or not. I think you’ll have fun, just pick what you’d like to airbrush and the possibilities are really endless.
Ooops, spelled her name wrong, it’s actually Artemisia. She is so awesome 🙂 I love the red jewels.
All the unis I’m seeing are so beautiful. My grab bag uni is about 42 miles from my house right now… so close… so I’ll get to meet him tomorrow 🙂
