Neat idea! It’ll be fun to see this dragon’s progression. I can’t wait to see the finished piece.

I would love to have a black one! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I like the first one – the shadows add such mystery!
Congrats on the tiger cub! I can’t wait to see photos!
Happy birthday!! 🙂
Melody wrote:I just panted a small group of old prototype warriors in a variant of Autumn Leaf, I call it “Red Autumn Leaf” I can’t paint them exactly like the original AL warrior we sold, because that one was a ooak, but these are an interesting shade of red, green, copper, lavender, more red, gold, and everything else mushed together. Casserole dragons.
Sounds yummy! 🙂 I can’t wait to see photos of them – they sound gorgeous!
Tally Mark wrote:Hah, numbers always have colors for me too! It’s a little weird when reading numbers that are printed in color and they aren’t the “right” color for that number. Words sometimes take on color too though I notice it less.
I remember reading once that synaesthetes generally see the letter “A” as red, and I thought, “No!! A is most definitely blue! S is red!” I think a red letter A would look really weird to me (reading The Scarlet Letter would probably drive me crazy 🙂 )
Words tend to take on the color of the first letter for me. So words that start with “A” are blue, words that start with “N” are orange, etc.
I think my favorite aspect of synaesthesia is seeing colors for sounds, though – I’ve noticed that I have certain songs grouped together in my mind because they have a certain overall color scheme (yellow songs, red songs, etc). It’s fun, really.
Oh, he’s lovely! Congrats on winning him!
That’s an interesting article – thanks for sharing it! I have synaesthesia (both grapheme and sound) and I find it fascinating, especially as an artist.
Those are gorgeous! I love that red dragon!
Oo, I loved the “Golden Sunrise” Ki-rin earlier, but I really really love that sunrise dragon! That’s just gorgeous.
