Congrats!
And Bardwing is right. I have 3 cats that all came from feral backgrounds and all have managed to fit in.
I think first, make sure he isn’t deaf, then give him a bit of room. I think if he has a few days he will be okay. Neutered males are usually friendlier than females and it is a big shock for a cat to change homes and smells and sounds and people and layouts and schedules.
I think if you give hime time, he will calm down. I know it is hard, but cats are freaky by nature. A tame cat should settle in, but it takes them a LOT longer than a dog. Please give him a few weeks before you decide what to do. Also, offer treats, tha will help.
Good luck. Kaya

Nope, It’s me 🙂 I have a green one and I want a pink one! 😈
Hehehe, haven’t been around much, but I did get a few things here lately 🙂
They are beads, but in the picture, it looks like a head light! Man, that is one cool Wizard….with that gear he looks like he could go cave exploring.
The poor wizards always get this treatment, people seem to enjoy embelishing them ! XD
You can also use baby aspirin for your dogs arthritis. It isn’t as heavy duty as Rimadyl, and is easier on their stomachs.
My dogs are 10 – 15 pounds and may get an 81 mg baby aspirin at bedtime. It really helps. Also a nice soft bed and a warm place with soft blankets helps. So my old dogs go in a crate with a soft bed and blankets, or in bed with us.
A supervised heating pad arrangement is okay also. Just extra food for thought!

Hey all,
They still haven’t got him, he was in a 4 wheel drive and up high, so I guess that is how he managed to drive off. My insurance will pay, but it was a lot of damage. All the rear panels and the tub of the car (floorpan) are cracked. So all will have to be replaced.
It will be months just to get the parts. They only make 2000 or less Vipers per year, so we have to wait on panels and then we will see from there. Matching the paint will be difficult also. So maybe by the summer I will have the car back.
Thank God I have another car to drive 🙂 Thank God I wasn’t seriously hurt!
Thanks everyone!

I tried to PM you, but I can’t get that up as an option. JVargas has been trying to log into his account and cannot for some reason. His email is jvargas0667@comcast.net if you could please contact him. He can not post and neither of us could PM you!
His account was under JVargas. Thanks, my email is eschete344@bellsouth.net and keschete@yahoo.com if you have any questions. Thanks,

Beautiful Cattleya Orchids! I have some Oncidiums and some mini Cats…but the cool weather made them abort the new growths!
Gorgeous! Hope you are well! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Sorry, haven’t been about much!
Financially, we have been recovering from the Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. We had a lot of damage and big repair bills.
Sooo, no Windstones for a bit, but I got a Lucky Lama and the #3 Frog/ Toad. So I am happy!
I have been very busy at work….sick people need Nurse Practitioners 🙂 and I do ENT practice….so it is especially busy with the crazy weather making everyone sick!
Hubby works for Dodge/Chrysler….but he switched to selling used cars and is doing better. The last few months were a bit tight, but hopefully the new year will bring us all good times.
Hugs, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hey all! I am in Houma, LA (Terrebonne Parish) and we are alive…not good and a lot beat up, but still kicking.
I had 15K of damage between the two stoms and since Allstate doesn’t owe me a whole roof, since only half was missing, they gave me a 7K estimate. So with a 10K deductible…I get to pay to fix my stuff on my own.
I am a lot worn out, we finally got power back after about 1 1/2 weeks, and we missed almost 2 weeks of work.
Sorry it took me so long to post, I am just frustrated and disgusted. We had wind damage for Gustav and about 1/3rd of our parish got flooded. Thank God! I didn’t get flooded. So it could have been worse.
And the frustrating thing is that if you have a job and insurance they you don’t qulify for any help…unless you want an SBA loan.
But, when I see the people who got flooded, then I feel like I shouldn’t be complaining. Galveston and Bolivar and the lower parts of South Louisiana are a bigger mess than what I have.
I hope everyone is okay and safe and I hope no one on here got flooded, because that is worse than the wind damage.

Like this guy….
You are right, I mis-spoke…Chupacabra is a tortoiseshell, calicos are larger patches of orange,
black and white, but if the patches are tabby stripped not solid then they are a patched tabby. All the genetics are the same for any cat who has black, white and orange or blue, white and cream.
4. Torties, patched tabbies, and calicos
If your cat is randomly patched with different colors, you probably have a tortie, patched tabby, or calico.
For cats without white markings:A “tortoiseshell” or “tortie” is randomly patched all over with red, black, and cream. The patches may be very mingled, or they may be more distinct.
A “blue-cream” (also called “blue tortie” or or “dilute tortie”) is randomly patched all over with blue and cream. This is a soft, pastel color.
A “brown patched tabby” looks almost like autumn leaves, with patches of brown tabby and patches of red tabby. This color is also known as “torbie” because it is a tabby tortie.
A “blue patched tabby” is a soft color with patches of blue tabby and patches of cream tabby.
There is special terminology for tortoiseshells with white markings, depending on how much white they have:
A “tortoiseshell and white” or “blue-cream and white” has only small white areas. The body has mingled colors.
A “calico” has more white. As a rule, the more white there is on the cat, the larger and more distinct the red and black patches will be. You’ll notice that the large black patches are solid black, and the large red patches are actually red tabby.
A “dilute calico” has the same amount of white as a calico, but instead of red and black patches, it has blue and cream patches. The blue patches are solid blue, and the cream patches are cream tabby.
A “patched tabby and white” or “torbie and white” may have any amount of white. A patched tabby with a lot of white, like a calico, has large distinct patches of color, and is sometimes called a “patterned calico,” “calico tabby,” or “caliby.”Serenity wrote:What you have here is not just a calico…she is

Chupacabra…each patch is tabby stripped. Here is Chewie…and she and my female tabby are
both spayed, but have to be seperated when I am not
home, because they can’t stand each other. My male
doesn’t care…..You might want to seperate them when you aren’t
home, just in case.
