I just finished a batch of grab bag wolfs in wolf and dog colors, but
this new batch I just painted looks a lot like the ones I did last time! I should of looked at the class pic of the previous batch I did, first.
I try to change the colors of grab bags so people aren’t as likely to get twins of the same item, but it is possible this time!People liked the last batch so I don’t think duplicates are a problem, especially if the pieces are dated.
I can personally hope for enough difference that I still have a solid chance to not duplicate one of my 6, but the last batch were beautiful (hence the having 6 lol!) so I have no doubt these will be gorgeous 🙂
I do recommend dating the pad (you often do, when there is space on the pad) and I really like the softer pad the other pebbles got.. so we can tell 1st gen and second gen apart 🙂Is the wolf one of the metallic colored ebay/special pieces? Seems to have a lil more of a glow to it than the others
No, no metallic/chrome on him. However, he is exquisitely painted. He was the Quest 2, Question 1 prize.

I’m glad this got brought up because I have a piece I wanted to antique but I’m SUPER happy with his paint job and have been too scared to mess him up so he’s been chilling out for months waiting for me to get brave.
I remember that fear! That’s why I got used to doing dry brushing effects, the “antique” look on my pieces is usually the base coat, then I can adjust my color over that a whole lot easier! lol… But when you do get brave, definitely clear coat! It helps assure you don’t stain the paint, and helps assure the paint stays on the Windstone XD I’d also personally recommend glossy clear coat for this step (even if you intend to satin/matte finish the final piece) cause the gloss will make it easier to wipe up the antique (Kind of like glossy painted walls are easier to clean than matte finish).. I also recommend antiquing patches of the piece at a time, not the whole thing at once… – That’s my .02 anyway 🙂
Just curious if anyone knows what may be releasing/restocking soon, generally? I’m thinking of stocking up on a couple PYO’s, but don’t want to over-spend if certain production/LP’s are close to releasing… I remember talk of uni’s (fancier color), gothics, production pebbles… I would be extremely happy for CP V2 Male Griffs again.. all sorts of things and I don’t wanna miss out! Lol
A small batch ( about a dozen) gothic unicorns in buckskin are going to go in the store soon…I am going to launch into some pebble canines today, so they should be out end of the month.
Awesome! Maybe I’ll see about finishing some PYO’s before ordering more and keep tabs for these new beauties! 🙂
Much the same as Loki’s problems with lighting, lol.. Every time I think I might get a nice day, it decides to be gloomy and snow some more, so no way these guys are making a trek outside for good quality photo’s! So I snagged a large group photo inside… and apparently my Flame Point BE taught my Burgundy red fox how to wink in photos! lol (My flame point winked in the photo I have posted to the GB BE thread)

And in case anyone is interested, I have decided to part with the burgundy red fox and fennec pair (middle fennec)… I’ll be putting an ad up in the classifieds 🙂 As much as I adore this collection in a whole, I don’t need quite this many right now, haha 🙂
Outdoor lighting hasn’t been on my side lately, so I decided to stop waiting and get an indoor photo of my current pebble collection. My Sand Fennec got a boo boo when it took a tumble some weeks ago, so he needs some fixing up.

I think it would be fun seeing a batch of natural wolf/dog/cat colors (much like half of the GB BE’s were) – I would also adore safari’s (like the original safari baby uni batch) – and I think Mel would do amazing with a fantasy batch painted much like the colts (with dragons and griffins painted on then)
So overall, my vote really just goes to there being only /one/ type in a batch instead of mixed batches… as awesome as the natural wolves/dogs/cats would be, to try and trade one for a fantasy or safari would be extremely difficult, I’d think..

and I'm just beside myself happy with the grey one that looks like my old dog Riggs… he passed away years ago, but I still miss him very much! and it's so nice to have this piece in memory of him 🙂
