How ’bout I paint a batch of just brindle wolves? Then everyone can have one.
They could be still be a grab bag -all slightly different.

THIS!!! I would especially LOVE to see some golden brindles in the batch.. if it’s not too much to ask :3

I’m pretty sure if Windstone decides to paint MKs in retired Emerald, they’ll have red eyes and gems. But I’m hoping for a small batch of orange eyes and jonquil gems to match my little family. I know some of us have Emeralds with orange eyes and jonquil gems before Windstone decided to go with the red. I’m just putting a vote out for those of us in the minority, lol.

I also love this idea. I always wished orange eyes had been the default permanently (not that there’s anything wrong with red!).

Just a small orange-eyed batch maybe?

Whichever happens, if they show up in emerald I’ll be happy no matter what the eye colour 🙂

I, too, always wished orange eyes and jonquil gems were default for Emerald pieces. As I said in my previous post, the red eyes seemingly disappear on the Emerald dragons, and the red gems just look sore >.< I do love red eyes on other pieces, though. Just please, please, please a small batch of Emerald w/orange eyes and jonquil gems on the MKs.. that’d be awesome!

If we do come out with another red color, we’ll give the color some other name to distinguish them.

New dragon sculpts eventually get painted in most of the “retired” colors of the older dragons, so new dragons can fit in with the existing dragon families.

Maybe a deep, red-purple with golden wash, and light gold eyes and jonquil gems? Could name the scheme “Garnet“.. I’ve always loved Garnets. It was also my dog’s birthstone :3

Man, I can let myself off the hook then haha. Im really attracted to that golden paint with black points. I hope they do more statues in that color combo. I think it would make a great production line color (wishful thinking).

I thought that would make you feel better, lol. I really love the color combination too, and agree with you that it would make an awesome production color. In fact, if it ever does exist, depending on category [dragons, pegasi, etc.], I might just have to include it in my production collection… I’m hoping for dragons xD

There’s really only so many ways you can sculpt a dragon lying down. And though the color scheme is quite similar to Windstone’s Peacock, especially with the blue eyes, like Betrluk1 said, it’s not that uncommon of a color for fantastical beasts. I think it’s different enough that calling it infringement is a bit far-fetched.
