I got the rainbow lap from NicoleH, but am still working on landing your Rainbow Rising Spectral 😀
All the stuff I had for trade, I ended up selling on eBay 😀
No kidding, Kujacker. The thing I don’t get is, what’s the point? 😕 It’s not like we’re all gonna click on every single porn-titled thread. Now if he’d spammed something about dragons…

By the way, Loooooooooove herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!! XD Thanks again!
I think that in the truest, most sincerest sense, everyone really does create their own reality. So for people who really don’t believe in ghosts, they will not see or experience ghosts. For people who *do* believe in them, they are open to experiencing that. And for people who die and just can’t let go of their life, their shape, this physical plane – yeah, they become ghosts, why not. If we really are the masters and creators of our experiences, then we are able to manifest anything, including self-enforced blind spots, self-fulfilling prophecies, and any kind of afterlife we can imagine.
So if your mom believes in bad luck around ouija boards, she will probably find a way to blame your pendant if you get it! Even though you probably won’t see it as anything other than an ordinary necklace. For what it’s worth, and at the risk of being unpopular, if you’re living under your mom’s roof and she’s kind enough to keep you there, might be better to follow her rules ’til you have your own place. (If you do get the pendant, maybe keep it in the box until you move?)CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I love the rainbow scheme too, though I was looking at my new rainbow lap dragon yesterday (she’s my first and so far only rainbow) and found myself thinking that the red blush on her nose looked an awful lot like a lion’s nose after a fresh kill on a nature show, if you know what I mean…
(Well, and then my mom started singing Rudolph, and my hubbie made a comment about strong drink, and it all went downhill from there 🙄 )
But I stlll love her and given that I work with raptors, I don’t mind the well-and-freshly-fed look! 😀This is fun to watch 😀 Wish I had something to trade, just to join in!
I’ve had rats (I mean a large cage with a dozen of’em, not just one or two) and chinchillas (2 in a shared cage) at a couple places. I didn’t bother telling the landlords, and never got “busted” for it (for example, a property maintenance person coming in, seeing them, reporting it to the office and resulting in dire consequences for me). They never seemed to care.
I currently have 2 cats but I only claim one because 1) I get charged per cat per month on rent and 2) I get charged per cat for pet deposits. I’ve gotten away with it because one cat was born feral so he hides under the bed pretty much whenever anything is going on anywhere in the house, and I know no maintenance or property management person will see him. So far so good… (for about 6 years now, in 3 different rental places) But I have had to pay damages for cats scratching up or otherwise damaging the carpet, and I have had to patch up things like windowsills and wood trim from rodent nibbles. One thing worth mentioning, is there’s a big difference between renting a room in someone’s house vs. renting an apartment in a large apartment building or complex. Apartment rental COMPANIES have a much more “blanket” approach to their policies, they usually don’t have time or energy to care about the difference between a rabbit you let hop around vs. a ferret you let gallumph about. Companies don’t have personal preferences – just policies, built to address the most common denominator (people with cats and dogs).
On the other hand, renting from an individual who just happens to have an extra room in their house, or who is subletting their place, can and will have preferences (like the folks who mentioned running into a very specific no ferrets or no snakes policy.) There you are dealing with somebody who might have a lifelong terror of rats, or cat allergies, or what-have-you.I love ferrets! I’ve always wanted one (Well two. One black that I would name Samhain and call Sammy for short, and one white that I would name Beltaine and call Bell for short. Not like I’ve thought about this or anything.) The best way I’ve ever heard them described is “Kittens who never grow up”. From what I understand, their musky smell is from scent glands that are usually surgically removed at a very young age? I know they’re related to skunks, and maybe it’s skunks I’m thinking of as far as surgically removed smelly glands goes. Anyway, they’re cute and funny and cuddly and you win for having them!! 😀
🙁 Sorry to hear. Add my positive fuzzies to the river heading her/your way.

thank you! I agree – there’s something very sweet about the Lap dragon, I think she has quickly become one of my favorites!
I have lived in rental places *all* my life. It has always been my experience that in fact, apartment rental places don’t pay attention to or care about anything that lives in a cage or tank (birds, reptiles, rodents, fish – and I’ve had them all except the fish.) “Pet friendly” is a simple way to let people know that they do accept cats and dogs (and to differentiate themselves from places that say NO PETS).
The biggest reason apartment managements choose to not have pets are these:
*Damage to carpets (pee, poop, scratching, fur, dander)
*Damage to the apartment structure (chewing on door frames, scratching up the doors)
*Pet messes left on premises from people walking their dogs (people who don’t poop scoop)
*Noise (barking)Caged pets don’t have any of these issues. You will be 100% ok with having your ferrets. As a pet friendly rental place,I’m guessing they’d be fine with your cat, and even dog if you want, so long as you’re willing to pay the extra deposit and possible monthly pet rent. Just check with the management – some places have weight limits on pet size to keep dog sizes to the smaller breeds, and some limit the number of cats/dogs you can have (like, no more than 2 cats/dogs total).
I have always let my rental agencies know all the pets I have (right now, cat and cockatoo) and nobody’s ever cared about anything but the cats/dogs. (Even though IMHO they *should* care about the cockatoo – them’s noisy!!!)
Best of luck to you, and let us know how it goes 🙂
I just got my first Rainbow in the mail – the Lap dragon! She’s lovely – I wasn’t expecting the deep blue eyes and haven’t decided how I feel about them, but I love her and I can’t wait to get the rest of her family (Rising Spectral and Young)!
I’m sure someone has already posted this earlier in the thread, but I didn’t want to dig thru 60 pages and see where. So, here’s a link to all the eggs, their descriptions and the kinds of dragons they produce:

(I have no adults yet, but am happy to post them once these eggs have grown!! 😀 )Kyrin wrote:The best way to repaint a peacock is to simply get the blue and purple interference paints, and some basic black paint, and the satin brush on sealer.
First do your repairs, fill in and resculpt. Then paint repaired area black, let dry. Then dry brush on the blue interference paint blending in purple if there happens to be any in the area you are repairing. Once that dries, seal with the satin sealer, and there ya go, done.
Windstone uses Golden brand interference paints, you can usually find them at Michaels, they aren’t cheap, but they are very cool and if you plan any PYO projects, they are worth the expense for future projects.
Good luck on your repair, sounds like she’s in good hands.
As for the Declo, I admit it, I hate them. What ever you do, seal your piece with sealer, then run the gold pen over it. If you try to seal after you put the gold on, it turns this sick army green color. The Declo does not like sealer on top of it. (Don’t tell, but I prefer Krylon 18kt gold leafing pens)

I have the same question – how do you get the coppery color along the spine and wing edges of these guys? What colors do you mix to match it?
And that’s interesting info about the sealer turning the gold pen paint green! I wonder if that’s why it seems to be the first thing to go on an older sculpt – because they don’t seal it on?
Also, the dragons look glossier than a satin sealer to me. Is it just because the underlying paints (interference) are so shiny, they gleam through the satin finish and keep a glossier look?
This is me soaking up info like a dried out sponge! :yum: Thanks all!!
