I will e-mail mine but can we also e-mail past unicorns and poads too that weren’t put in a directory yet? I know there were lots of ones from before too I would love to see added to directories!
I would really prefer to do just one project right now. Adding too much to the mix will make it harder on me. If you’d like to send *one* extra picture, that’s fine – but in short, I’d rather wait until I get this one completed 🙂

I call these two Frost and Ember. I love that they seem like near-opposites. Dark vs Light, Heaven vs Hell, Angel vs Devil. I love the juxtaposition!
I got this Poad in a trade just yesterday. She was one of my #1 favorites from the Adult Poad Grab Bag batch, so I am absolutely thrilled to have her! 😀

They are staying with me for sure at this point – they remind me of opposites. Kind of a dark vs light theme! So I have named them Frost and Ember 🙂
I also have this beauty that I got in a trade and I love him – he was actually one of my favorites from the class pics! However, I told myself at the beginning of this that I would only allow myself to keep two (even more so now that Melody has said the next time she does these they will be a more natural batch!) so I must sell him. He will be in the classifieds shortly.
He’s really beautiful – copper and a deep chocolate brown/maroon, and with just a little bit of green on his wings. He sports very subtle blue interference antiquing on his face and chest. You can kind of see it in pics, but I wasn’t even aware of it until he was in my hands! It’s really lovely 🙂

Please visit My Webpage to see my art and PYO's that I've done in the past!I agree with chem. The only eyes that I can stomach using in Windstones have to be the 100% glass kind 🙂 So far, only true taxidermy eyes live up to the standards that I think Windstone has when making their glass eyes!
These eyes are really lovey, for sure! But paper backs generally means that they can be fallible – which is to say that no matter how well they are glued on, they could come off or get discolored when using a glue on the back of them. They may be fine 90% of the time, but there’s always that possibility! As Melody said, they may be best suited for use with sculpey and other projects 🙂
I would also prefer to see some actual photos of the eyes instead of the photoshopped image of the eye :/ some of the pictures do seem to be the actual cabs, but a lot of the really vibrant looking ones are pretty clearly just the image they are using instead of a photo of the completed piece.

I’m sure it’s a ton of work, but very much appreciated.I’ve been so busy with work and commissions lately, I don’t know if I will have the time to do one or not.. I’d be happy to host it if someone else would like to get permissions and gather photos though! making up a webpage isn’t the hard part, it’s getting the owner’s permissions to use the photo that’s exhausting! XD
If someone would like to take the time to do this and send me the photos of people who have granted permission, I’d be happy to 🙂

If it sits around too long, it goes bad and becomes unusable. I’ve had it go bad on me from sitting too long and not being used. That would be the one thing to be concerned about – How long has it been sitting on the shelf? If it’s fresh, that’s a great deal! Just wanted to throw that out there for anyone who is not familiar with that aspect of Apoxie Sculpt. I know of one place that used to sell it near me (a taxidermist), but no longer stocks it because he kept losing stock if it sat too long. I’ve had the stuff go bad on me as well from not using it frequently enough.

I got a 16 oz pack of Apoxie Sculpt approximately 2 years ago (8oz of white “part A” and 8oz of the grey “part B”). It was a lot more than I needed but it was a good deal and I figured I may use it for several things and not just repairing Windstones. About a month ago I noticed that the grey half is starting to separate, leaking an odd, brown stickiness. The edges that are nearest to the lid are also crumbly and dry – the only usable parts are deep inside the ball of grey, and its VERY hard to get to at this point! The white half, oddly, seems fine. It’s still moist and easy to work with.
