I think mine would have a greater chance of death in the basement than in my room…at the hands of my sister’s stepchildren. XD Rowan, the youngest, loves dragons…and he’s not quite old enough to grasp the ‘not a toy’ concept when he sees a shiny dragon figurine.
I have the same problem with my niece… and it’s gotten worse since she saw ‘How to train your dragon’. She is always asking to play with them and now asks me where Toothless is XD
Please jackalopes for the store *puppy eyes*
I love that Himalayan bunny but any color would be fine with me, though grab bag ones done in all natural bunny colors would be a hoot! The underside of a blue footed booby’s neck/bill?
they remind me of hoo-doos in Zion National Park only on a smaller scale. Neato!
twindragonsmum 🙂
That’s why I guessed sand formation. Aside from color they look alot like the hoodoos in the badlands here 😀
My guess is some sort of sand formation
Adorable! I love his big feet… 😀

I think a wind mil is a grand idea 😀
We get those gale force winds all the time too which make the wind chill in the winter awfull. There are actually several wind farms in my areaPoor Robin….
And beautiful picture 🙂The calender says it’s spring but everything is covered in snow still…. It snowed again yesterday… and as much as I love snow…. I’m ready for spring.
Hmmm….
Most outdoor type paints I’ve used don’t need a sealer or clear top coat, unless it’s wood and then your more sealing the wood than the paint.
Is it just the sealer that is peeling? or is the paint coming up as well? Is your thing plastic or cement?
Hey,
You should probably be alright with a normal sewing machine using Jeans or leather needles. I’ve sewn through leather, vinyl, fake fur and the nylon webbing in layers with my cheapo Kenmore using the appropriate needles. I would check out Sears (where mine came from) and they were fairly inexpensive (around $100 here) for a basic model which is all that you would need. Check what the machine is rated for (should be on the box) and make sure that your needles will fit before you buy. They also have repairs and returns. 😉
The other option might be to look for a vintage sewing machine. The older machines seem to have more powerful motors in them. I have an old machine from the forties or fifties (it goes forward and backward and was state of the art at the time :p ) and have made corsets on the thing going through 5-6 layers of heavy fabric. The downside here is it can be expensive to get them serviced 🙁
Other tricks to help you out…
– Look at getting a Jeans foot. It’s a bit broader and will help hold down the heavy fabric and make the webbing easier to feed through.
– Go SLOW!! And I mean a crawling speed. Going fast is when you run into problems with heavy layers and break needles. Going fast also puts strain on the motor when dealing with heavy fabrics.I hope this helps  Feel free to note me if you have any questions!
I finally found a family doctor (after 2 years of searching) YAY!!
She is within walking distance of my house YAY!!
She has referred me to another to help me deal with my anxiety problems rather than just medicating the crap out of me YAY!!I finally have a glimpse of hope for the future!
I’m allergic to anything even remotely fishy/seafoody. Though I have heard there is vegetarian sushi and it would be interesting to try, but never been able to find any.

Some people 😡
My sister had a similar situation a few years ago when they found a puppy in their new development who had more than likely been a ‘dump’. I’m glad you’ve taken them in, no one deserves to be with out a loving home. They are cute little things.
The Black makes me wonder what my parents dog may have looked like as a pup (Lab cross). He’s a rescue who was wild and uncontrollable outside yet would cower and hide behind the furniture in the house. They’ve had him for 5 years now and now he is Dad’s spoiled best friend 😀
I really hope you can find homes for them! -
