Could they have hit the “sell one like this”? I don’t know what happens when you hit it because I’m not a seller. I guess what I’m saying is when you hit the button does it copy and paste the other person’s auction?

The simplest way might be what kiya said about certification. Just certify the repairer/repainter. Said individual pays a fee(yearly, per piece, percentage, etc) to Windstone to have piece made official and get a CoA then the individual is responsible for selling the piece. I think that alot of the repairers and painters here do what they do not because they expect a cost effective use of their time but because they love it. As for the buyers, I think many would be willing to pay extra over the current going rates to get a Windstone approved piece.

I actually glued the head back on with Aleene’s tacky glue thinking it would not hold. But it did and it’s still strongly attached after a year.

I used to think Aleene’s tacky glue is just another white craft glue but it is not; it’s surprisingly effective at repairs. My mom has this ceramic/resin type candle holder who’s butterfly wing broke off and we for the life of us could not get the thing to stay back on for more than about 2 months at a time. We tried white glue, super glue, china weld(works instantly on porous stuff), modeling glue, even double sided carpet tape(that actually worked the best) but nothing worked. One day I glued it with regular Aleene’s tacky glue figuring it would hold a couple months if at all. It’s still holding strong over a year later and I’ve even tried wiggling it to see if it would break again.

I use an ultra fine tip sharpie as well. I use it because sharpies write on just about anything relatively easily.

I like to base coat no matter what. If nothing else it makes to absorption rate of the paint job more even than it is on bare gypsum. And dragonmedley is right. The gypsum is a different color than the paint. It looks off white when compared to white paint.

I think having her as a spectral PYO would be awesome! Even if she’s enormous. It might be the only way I’ll be able to afford her any time soon. Would definitely be a challenge painting her though, even with a turntable to help.

In the end I would just like to see her in production. It would be a shame for her to never make it into people’s homes.

I voted PYO but I also wouldn’t mind seeing in a smooth finish.

I saw Aparri’s a while back. One thing I got out of it was the turntable. OMG does it make a difference painting the heavier pieces like the keeper. I was having troubles maneuvering it because it’s too heavy to comfortably hold and spinning it with out the turntable was a pain. Now it spins round and round. I couldn’t find any painting ones like he has so I bought a plastic cake turntable which are everywhere. Thanks Appari for the inspiration. (Though I notice that Jen uses one too)

Will 4.5mm dark siam(red) flat backs work? I have two I can send you if they will. I’m in Canada though so they’ll take a little longer to get to you.

In some ways I kinda wish they would like they are with alot of movies. Add a digital copy to go with the physical copy of the book. That way you can take the book on the go but still curl up with a physical book when you want to. I would even pay extra to buy a book that came with a digital copy. I understand the digital craze and sometimes like it but I like my physical copies of stuff. I’ll buy a CD only the rip it onto my computer and never play the CD just because I feel better when I can physically touch the thing I purchase(and it gives me a backup in case the the 1s and 0s go bye bye). When I want to read a large document or book that’s only on the computer I have been known to waste 100+ pages of paper to print it off to read because I find paper easier and more comfortable to read. I like my hard copies!

I’d settle for fledgies instead if that’s easier for you.:D I’d just love those colors on pieces I can afford(sort of).

I don’t know if will help with the reversed sleep pattern but one trick my cousin learned is that you can feed a baby while he’s sleeping. So if he’s sleeping and you know he’s going to wake up hungry soon you quietly go in and feed him without waking him up and he’ll stay asleep longer. Keeping him asleep when you want him sleeping may help reverse his sleep patterns idk.
