Mixing non gloss brush on finishes is very important. First time I used satin finish it looked like the gloss. I discovered that the satin finish is the same as the gloss just with some solid in it to dull it. The matte is the same as the satin except with a higher concentration of solids. In order to get the full effect you need to make sure all of the solid that is settled at the bottom of the bottle is mixed in. If the matte doesn’t do the trick I would try an ultra matte. I know Liquidex makes an ultra matte and it’s supposed to have a totally flat finish. As for the dry times for Liquidex it’s mostly just the paints that seem slow to cure. For me I find that they aren’t quite tacky but they don’t feel cold and smooth for at least a few days to a week. The finishes don’t have the same problem. I find they feel cured within 24h. I’ve had no problems with the finishes and I’ve used them on all my pieces.
are those materials available in any common hobby store like Michaels or Hobby Lobby? =) I appreciate the assistance, the shinyness on my griffons is a cause of annoyance for me as well
I know Michaels carries Liquidex products(in the artist paint section) and should have the matte finish but the ultra matte is a little harder to find and not all places that carry Liquidex have it. I have seen the ultra matte in a hobby store here(or at least the spot for it). You may have more luck finding the ultra matte at art stores that carry Liquidex as they seem to carry a more complete selection.

I verified my account. Then because it defaults to debit and I didn’t always remember to switch it I got dinged overdraft a couple times. So I removed my bank account off of my paypal. It still says I’m verified even though I no longer have a bank account assigned to it. I don’t know if they have some way of retaining that info after it’s removed or what but I haven’t had a charge to my bank account since. It might be a way to compromise. Attach an account wait for their test payment and then remove it.

The blue quarter is the Orca. I believe that the third quarter in the series is the Kestrel and it has a yellow blob but I have yet to see the bird one.
This is Canada’s new coin . They are no longer doing the one with the Elk on it . It’s one for used by people as legal tender .
It’d be kinda cool if they were going into circulation but they are kinda like artist edition Windstones; they’re too fancy to be production pieces.

It’s expensive because it’s a collectors coin not a circulation coin and only a limited number of them were made. The mint makes a collection of fancy coins that are collectors coins only. The non precious metal ones are often intricately painted like this one is.

Losing your kid to a clothing rack for a couple of minutes is one thing but intentionally letting a young child wander off outside for hours is a very big deal. Worse is not caring. I’m no mom but even I know 4 is too young to play outside unsupervised especially if there is no secure/locked back yard for them to play in. I hope you get full custody of the kids, he doesn’t seem responsible enough to take care of children.
