I have used AuctionStealer (http://www.auctionstealer.com) for years. I have the paid service because sometimes I use it a lot, but they also have a limited free option.
I know a lot of people disapprove of snipe engines, but I find mine invaluable for situations like this, or when the auction closes at some inconvenient time, or when I don’t want to risk missing the end of the auction. There are free options available if you would need it only once in a while.

Anyways, no surprise what I want, a point and shoot camera. My last one was a lemon 🙄
See’s is a brand, yes. I don’t think I’d consider them “fine” chocolates, but they’re not the low grade candy bar type either. I love the marshmallow/caramel. Mmmmm!
Ah, OK. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that brand, but they may be here; I don’t really eat chocolate so I just might not have noticed them.
See’s Candy is a West Coast brand, though they do set up an outpost at a mall near here (Annapolis, MD) during the Christmas season. I think they have also gone into mail-order. I had a relative who moved here from San Francisco and she thought that See’s chocolate was the very best. So every Christmas I put See’s chocolate in her stocking and Godiva in my daughter’s stocking. Going to the See’s kiosk while carrying a Godiva bag – or going into Godiva with a See’s Candy bag – always made the sales clerks frown. I can go either way, except I don’t think that See’s makes Key Lime Truffles. :yum:I use Amazon, but mostly to see when books are due to come out. Rarely buy through them. None of the other sites – I spend most of my online computer time on ebay, Windstone forum, and email.

Yeral wrote:I could certainly try 🙂 I suppose those are easy enough to find at craft stores?
Now, that is a good question. Craft store? Hardware store? My ex-husband had a whole room full of stuff (plumbing, electrical, tools, nails, screws, washers, bolts, etc,, etc., etc.) so I got in the habit of just going downstairs and rummaging when I needed something. I’m not used to buying clips and fasteners.
Wow – I don’t usually like the Emperors but that one is spectacular! Congratulations – and a tip of the hat :hi: to whoever is willing to let him go.
Rather than trying to complete the hole, could you attach the trinket with a spring clip – something that has ends that fit into the existing holes? 😕
I am not in the market for Griffins, Siamese or otherwise (though that chick sure is cute), but I like the first male that was on ebay much better than the second.
Thanks – I was wondering how long it was proper to wait before asking! 😉
I just rediscovered the Windstone CafePress store with all kinds of Christmas gift ideas. It looks like you can have a Pearl Secret Keeper on a tee shirt, even if you don’t have one on your shelf! 🙂 The path is Windstone Home – Website & Dealer Catalog – Cafepress Store.
Wasn’t the poll also at the beginning of the user control panel or the private messages section? I remember seeing some announcements there as well as on the Forum itself.
Yeral wrote:I did a search on “eye socket” and I found a couple of posts about eyes not fitting windstones because the eyes themselves are handmade and can sometimes differ just enough to make a difference, but I’m too terrified to try the other eye in the socket, especially since I can definitely see some raised part in the socket that I don’t remember being there in my last PYO.
Purpleturtle – what did you use to scrape out the socket? If I can correct it I don’t want to bother Susie.. I know she’s probably pretty busy.. but at the same time I don’t want to wait until it’s too late! 🙄
If you search “eye stuck” and “remove eye” you will find other posts on this topic. The message seems to be “Use great care in removing the eye”. I can’t tell if you were able to get yours out or not.
Unfortunately, what one person sees as cheating is seen as “smart” or “clever” by others. I’m with you though – everybody SHOULD play fair. And I agree with those who have said “Karma will get you”. :snappy: Too bad it seems to take so long sometimes!

Yay Recipe!! 😀 😀 😀
Pretty much anything but Carrot Cake & Cheese Cakes, the 2 types I Don’t like! I”m hoping to find a Cinnamon/spice cake recipe like I grew up with some time, & My Mom’s Choc Cake made with Mayo, she hasn’t seen the recipe in nearly 3 decades(may be more, since she can’t remember making it since I’ve been born.).
I figure start with Shaped Pan cakes & then start Slab Carving after a while, & bit of Confidence in my Icing styles, & Techniques.
Maybe the weekend, I’m planning on trying to make my first bit of Gingerbread(that I can remember & that’s solo on my part).
We go to my Uncles Christmas Eve party, & I want to bring a Gingerbread house with us this year, or a “Cake House” we found a Cake Pan that’s shaped like a house we thought would be fun to do(especially in that cinnamon/Spice cake, I think it’s also a Pound cake type)!
I used to think that Gingerbread used Molasses, but the recipe I have uses Honey, so I’ll see how that works out!OK – this is a chocolate cake made with mayo, but I have never tried the recipe. However, it is from one of those recipe collection cookbooks that organizations put together and sell – in this case it was a school – so it should be a “family tested” recipe.
DEVIL FOOD CAKE
(Economical to make)Grease and flour a 13″ x 9″ pan.
Sift together:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon saltAdd:
1 cup cold water
3/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 teaspoon vanillaBeat four minutes [my note – I expect this is the time for beating with a mixer, not by hand]. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees F. Test for doneness.
Frost with your favorite white icing [after it cools].If you try it – let me know how it comes out. 🙂
