*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comI’m pretty sure “love fuzzy” goes in the comment section here on the Windstone site when you’re ordering, not in the paypal comments. I’ve only requested one fuzzy so far, and I just put it in this site’s order comments and he came.
So, odd yours didn’t come… :~
Are the fuzzies hibernating at this time?Sorry again for another dumb question for those of you in the ‘know’, but I’ve only joined this site barely 4 weeks ago. I’ve had fun so far investigating the forum posts and drooling over ALL the cool stuff! I’ve even ordered a few PYO pieces to try my hand at later this year (Haven’t opened the box yet, waiting to keep them safe) … but I’m confused…
What are ‘fuzzies’?
Sorry for the dumb question…

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comwas looking at my color shift curlie when a question popped into my head, could these be done in hatchers? just thought I’d ask….
Certainly it could be done… if we had more of the paint! I used the last of it on the curlies.
There are suppliers who sell the pigment that the Automotive Paint companies order from. You can easily buy them and mix your own. I have some…There are a couple of places to get it from, I have links to two.

The pigments can be mixed into any carrier base.

This may be a very dumb question for everyone who has been painting recently, but I haven’t painted with acrylics for over 30-35 years and things have changed so much. The last time I painted figurines or models Air Brushing had not been around, and paints were used out of tubes and brushed on, not mixed with powders, to give you an idea of how long its been.My question is what do you mix these pigment powders with? Can you suggest a specific brand medium or ‘carrier base’ as Dreaming Tree Studio noted? It would be very helpful to me. I’ve gotten a few PYO pieces recently and have just started researching the many paint options. One of these Solar color-shift or Chameleon paints look really interesting to try.
Thanks for any suggestions from anyone. 🙂

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comI agree. The Volcanic scheme is very stunning.
When the pieces started showing up on eBay, I started drooling and could only just say “WOW!”They are very dramatic – simply awesome! Great color scheme and perfect for the Dragons if it does become a Limited Production color.

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comPerfect!
I have two extra Young gb poads and a Young grab bag unicorn. All three have the same problem: After I painted them, I noticed that they had been under-poured, so the feet are a little bit smallish. This doesn’t really make that much of a difference in their looks, but it is enough that I didn’t want to sell them.
So the July raffle prize will be the winner’s choice from among these three GBs. I’ll post a pic of them tomorrow in the blog, if I remember.Whooo Hoooo!
Poad-tastic! 🙂

I don’t deal with unpleasant people if I can help it.

Windstone’s Representitive!! HAH! I might have called John/Melody up right then and there and asked if he wanted to chat with them on the phone.
Be more of a Hoot to have Melody herself be feed BS by the guy and then correct him in person…. might also teach him a much needed lesson.

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comThanks for the info, everyone! I have yet to order my dragon yet (debating on a good eye color) but I’m eyeballing moonstone cab lots on ebay. I’m excited about this girl already.
Do any of you guys ever use pictures of blank PYOs to block out coloring ideas?
Hey!
I was actually going to do just that! I feel it helps, and was going to photograph my blank PYO Dragon and Foo Dog when they come in, and print out the photos on paper (probably several sheets for mistakes or future designs). Then I’ll use colored pencils to work out design schemes and colors. When I do loom beading work, mapping out a design and colors in a way I want to use them really does help put together the design (and count how beads are placed on the rows – essential in loom beading).
Good Luck! 🙂

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comThanks for the Welcome and I hope to look around the forum more as I get a chance, and perhaps starting painting my PYO’s in the Fall. I’ve already started researching some color schemes and I need to check out the different types of paints finishes, like the interference colors. I’d love to do a Dragon in a color scheme that reminds you of a Graackle – basically a black colored bird with white eyes but when sunlight hits the black feathers you see an iridescence like an ‘oil slick’ type of effect that shows undertones of blues and purples.
Here’s what a Grackle looks like if you are not familiar:

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comI’d say that I’m like most like the Hatching Peacock colored Gargoyle Dragon….
I may LOOK like I’m going to bite your finger if you stick it too close, but I’m just hanging out my tongue to try and ‘taste’ life a bit before coming completely out of my shell… which can be a Real Task for me at times, I must say! That’s why it’s taking me so long to come out, I’m testing the waters, so to speak. Although it doesn’t bother ME to take my time.
My tongue hanging lazily out of my mouth also indicates how laid-back I am and how I do *YAWN* sometimes take my time gettin’ going … But my Red eyes are Bright & Wide with Wonder at Everything I see around me!
And, when I DO decide to completely come out of my Shell…. Watch Out World ’cause nothing will stop me, especially once I make up my mind to do something.
🙂
