Anyone who got multiple emails: The link at the bottom of each email to the windstone store, is that link written a little differently in each email?
Ok, I went to an O/S product with no one waiting on it, and I clicked notify about 5 or 6 times while logged in, and about 4 or 5 times while logged out. The program recorded that two people wanted the item (it recorded me as “ebay” and again as “ebay@indstoneeditions.com”). I got 3 back in stock messages. Very strange. It’s not sending me one for each click, but it is messing up and sending too many.
Sorry about the multiple notify emails guys >_< I looked at the list and confirmed that no one was recorded twice unless they clicked notify while logged out and again while logged in. The program just glitched a little and sent multiple emails to the same people. I only got one notify email. I will ask Lane about making a way for people to see when they clicked the button already. But clicking, say, 20 times in a row should not result in 20 emails being sent. I'll test this myself (again) but I'm 99% sure it wont send multiple emails for multiple clicks.

I checked the list and you were recorded once with your username, and once with your email (meaning you clicked the button at least once while logged in and at least once while logged out). The program would have sent you two emails at most, normally. The fact that you got four means it glitched a little. But, at least it sent you more than you needed as opposed to none, lol
while there may have been 300 restock notices sent out, I’m sure I’m not the only one who got more than one (two in my case) because there is no way to see if you have clicked notify, so you click it again just to make sure….
The program should only record you once even if you click multiple times..
Syn, what email did you receive them at? You could get two notices if you click notify while logged in and another time while logged out. Could also be that the program borked a little having to send out so any emails, and sent the same notify email to the same person more than once. Before we restocked these I printed out a list of everyone who had pressed the button, and I didnt notice any doubled usernames or emails.
We actually did put a lot of consideration into making it two batches, and it was quite a while before we made the final decision. No one is being forced to buy these or gamble their money if they don’t want to. 🙂 In the end it was just faster and [a lot] easier to make them one batch. We have already sold half this batch in just 60 minutes!
I’m really disappointed. Not only that these are what I would consider an insane price (I wouldn’t even pay this much for an aftermarket unicorn), but because clearly Windstone didn’t listen to their customers who begged for 2 batches. At $360, to give us two distinct different types of unicorns in one batch and not give us an option? It’s insulting. I think I’m going to be sticking strictly to PYOs from now on, because this has all gone just too far. Sorry Windstone, you’ve outpriced me and lost much of my business.
Some people wanted one batch, some people wanted two. In the end we decided it would be a lot simpler to just make it one large batch. There were 300 people who pressed the notify button, and only 120 unicorns! It would also cut down on Susie having to cancel orders for all the people who would have inevitably ordered from both batches without realizing that they should only order from one batch. 🙂
We decided to make these expensive because they are a lot more complicated than the last batch, and we are just about out of horns 🙁
There were 120 in this batch, and we have enough horns for another 100-ish, then that is it for the foreseeable future.They resell for a decent amount though, so if you get one you don’t like, hopefully it won’t be very hard to find it a new home 🙂
