When I first joined the scifi book club I got the Dragon riders of Pern as one of my books. Read it to pieces. Fell in love with dragons so I owe her for many happy hours of reading and for collecting Windstones. My sympathies to her family. I’m going to go cry now. :((
:(( I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read the Dragonriders of Pern – but I am on my third set of books because the bindings kept wearing out and I take very good care of my books. My heart goes out to her family. All I can think about is Menolly’s song for Petiron (?). It sums up what I feel. :((
Congratulations! Those are great photos so it is hard to pick a favorite. But I absolutely love Megaon01’s gothic unicorn plus Drag0n’s griffin family and Siberahk1’s poads…ok, I think they are all great. Can’t wait to get the calendar! I am totally impressed by the creativity of the forum members who submitted photos. I’m glad I didn’t have to just pick 12 – that must have been so difficult.
Wow! Melody really put a lot of work and love into each young poad! I am going to be an optimist and believe I am going to get one I love since each one is special in it’s own way. Besides, worse case scenario I can always trade which is fun because then I get to see at least two in person and maybe get to know a forum member better.

Ditto! Just gives us more time to anticipate. And once they are in the mail they get to where they are going pretty quickly.
I’ve been watching Little House on the Prairie episodes with my nieces. We are so spoiled these days when we can get a package from across the country in only 2 to 3 days when it used to take months to travel the same distance. Watching them has made me more grateful for modern conveniences!

Thanks for the bat picture. I really like bats. I like to watch them fly and anything that eats mosquitoes is ok with me.

Windstone has kept the same prices on most of the sculpts for several years. The reality is that with inflation most business managers would have recommended raising the prices every year like Susie mentioned. I’m very grateful that Windstone did keep the prices the same for as long as they could. But I understand why they need to increase their prices now. I would rather pay the higher prices than not have any Windstones to buy because they had to close. (gasp! The horror of that thought is scarier than anything I have seen around Halloween!)
Good luck with your sale. Just wanted to let you know you made me feel better since I now know I am not alone in having trouble finding Windstone boxes! :bigsmile: I did a few trades recently and it took awhile to find the right boxes. Of course I started looking in the wrong room every single time! *hits head against wall*
Dreaming Tree, I am so sorry about Sebastien. Megacolon is a horrible disease. You obviously loved him a great deal and he was fortunate to have people who loved him enough to put what was best for him (euthanasia) over what was best for them. People who loose pets go through the same grieving process as when they loose a person. Sometimes people need help coping with the loss. Have you considered a pet loss support group or seeing a therapist? Your vet should be able to tell you about any groups in the area.
As for knowing what is on ebay Pam usually lists new things in the evening so I just check to see what is new before going to bed.
