        Very sad news indeed.

She did have a very long and healthy life though and will be remembered for a long time to come through her books. I hope that’s a comfort to her family and friends.

I’m heartbroken . I adore her Pern series . I have read them so many times . I guess Todd will be finishing her last story . All the dragons of Pern are morning her . So are her fans .

When I first joined the scifi book club I got the Dragon riders of Pern as one of my books. Read it to pieces. Fell in love with dragons so I owe her for many happy hours of reading and for collecting Windstones. My sympathies to her family. I’m going to go cry now. :((

All of my fire lizards are keening along with the draqgons. She was my inspiration and refuge. RIP

No, no, no. I refuse to acknowledge this. My heart is heavy. πŸ™

How sad. Gers were some of my first fantasy series!

She will be much missed. I loved her books, especially the Pern series.

                            She will be greatly missed.
Her Dragonriders of Pern series was the reason I fell in love with Dragons, and what lead to the start of my Windstone collection.

I fell in love with the firelizard books. Dragonsinger was my most cherished book as a lil girl. The library at school knew I loved it so much that when i finished HS they gave me the hard back cover one they had. She is the reason I fell in love with dragons…RIP πŸ™
