I’m glad you like him! Having never done one before, it came out better than I had hoped! And thank you for sharing pictures, because I was totally too worried about getting him out the door to remember to take some myself, LOL.
I just got mine from dashendots and it’s gorgeous! I have to take photos of it tomorrow since it’s too dark right now.

Oh hey, what do you know. dashesndots, I think you have the Rising Spectral that I painted when I visited the factory by the look of it. One of only 8 pieces I painted that made it to ebay.
I do! Syn was kind enough to sell it to me this spring as he was one of the ones I put in my want ad. I love him, he’s gorgeous!
DashesnDots – I spot my galaxy/night sky PYO! I remember now I really liked how that uni came out, I kind of want to paint another but in more pastel tones…Also, beautiful collection, I really love that matte Kirin male!

You have a nice collection, Dashesndots! Several of your pieces look like they would form a lovely ‘sunset’ family – the Spectral, Mini Keeper, Male, PYO Unicorn, and Poad would look really good together… maybe they’re cousins?
Do you group them together for display, or are they scattered around the house? (Mine are definitely scattered, but I’d love an excuse to herd them into one spot long enough for photos; it’s different seeing them in a cluster!) I would love to see more people do this in the thread, since I always tend to assume it’s a ‘show your whole collection’ thread anyway.
Thank you! I do have them all together, not on the table where the photo is, on a console thing next to it. It’s getting a little full though LOL.
There is no theme really, although it started out as one of each sculpture (the mother coiled is the exception apparently LOL). There are quite a few sunset-y ones in there though! Besides Mama Toffee Griffin and the Kirin, I guess to do tend to be schemes that have a lot of shading and/or contrasting colors.
It’s been a year and a bit since I shared my collection. Some pieces have come and gone, but it’s still grown quite a bit, haha! Sorry for the flash (and the distracting background stuff), just thought it brought out colors on everyone better.
Mine will be going out Monday as well. Dumb question, but I don’t really get the cookie thing – are we supposed to include actual cookies (or a treat of some sort?)?

It’s not required, just something fun some people do. Mine has been shipped. The guy that helped me at the post office was the most unhappy person I think I’ve ever encountered at the post office before.

MandBsMom, congrats on the first off the line Desatado – he’s probably my favorite they’ve done of the Premier Collection so far, which is saying a lot haha.

The website is about 4 months out of date at this point, as after September I lose my prime photo spot due to waning light. I’ve since subtracted 4 and added 10 or 11, haha. I have the tendency to be a very fickle collector – there’s almost always something I want more, and I have limited room, so I have to make room for the new stuff quite often.
I had a childhood Breyer collection that my mom fed on birthdays and Christmas, from 1988ish (I think my first was the black Touch of Class from around that time, or the chestnut Lady Roxana) until 1999 (one of the last things I got was the original Huckleberry Bey). Then I lost interest / ran out of room, and didn’t start collecting again until 2011. I sold most of my carpet herd and started adding newer Breyers and Stones mostly. I do have a few resins/customs/other odd things like medallions, but my first love is OF Plastic Traditionals.
No customizing for me – I did try to for awhile but I’m just not very good at it. I much prefer customizing My Little Ponies because you don’t have to worry about realism, haha.
Only been to 2 shows total, but they have been fun and I really hope to go to more in the future if the stars align. I don’t want to travel very far or by myself so that limits me a bit.
Grails: I conga Croi Damhsa, so either of the OOAKs on that mold would be major grails, but ones I doubt I’ll ever obtain (I think they both belong to blabbers). More realistic ones include Shannondell, Here’s To You, Athena, El Capitan, and a Poseidon (to replace the one I had and sold).
Hi there – I’m another model horse collector who now dabbles in Windstones 🙂 (Also dashesndots on Blab).
The first I had heard of Windstones was in 2012 or 2013, when someone shared a PYO dragon they were working on in a thread on Blab. I looked up the website and was intrigued, but kind of forgot about them for several years.
Then I was reminded of them a few years later (don’t remember how). Started checking the website frequently, and managed to snag a Grab Bag Gothic Unicorn in April 2016….and it’s all been downhill from there! 😉 My faves are the Spectrals, Male Dragon, Mother Coiled Dragon, Male Kirin and the Griffins.
I think I’m up to 18 pieces now, in a year and a half of collecting (I need to take an updated photo) – they ARE like potato chips, haha.
