Fireworks just got finished here in SanDee. I must admit I’ve imbibed a little. I have the most horrid case of hiccups 😡
I hope everyone’s 4th was safe.
That’s a great idea Laurie, to consolidate the tips and tricks for getting around the ebay and Paypal systems. They both offer a lot of resources to protect their users that most people don’t know about–until they need to utilize them.
Ya! I really like “recreational worrying” too–when phrased like that, I realize I STILL do too much worrying, about things that aren’t as scary as I make them seem in my head. I think, sometimes we feel obligated to worry. She does have it very lucky, if this is the biggest thing she has to worry about. But, she might feel guilty, subconsciously, about the fact that she is fortunate, so worrying about this makes her feel normal in an economic climate where EVERYONE is worrying.
Your co-worker is calling you at odd hours, and has used this “event” (the big payment being late) as something to gravitate and obsess on. It seems like she just needs some attention!! I have a feeling, if you were to make a lunch date with her, and let her vent, you might not get the 9am calls. Especially if you can give her some gentle perspective on the whole thing, after listening to what she has to say. Heck, I really need that from my girlfriends too sometimes! The best thing my friends can do for me when I’m freaking over something is to NOT jump in with a solution right away, even though that’s what every well-meaning human wants to do. Most of the time, if you let someone who’s upset “talk it out” themselves, by the time they get finished telling the “story,” they feel better just for being listened to. By letting her talk about it she may realize that what’s she’s stressing about is actually kind of trivial.
Whenever I’m stressing about something big or small, I can usually squelch a lot of anxiety with “In three months, are you going to be worried about this?”
It’s incredibly helpful!
And yeah, your coworker seems like a dramamonger. She needs a little perspective. She doesn’t have to cancel her vacation if they payment is coming, just delay it.
I used to just surf the General Windstone forum, I haven’t really ventured into the PYO but at least I get around a bit more now 😀
I agree–a pet’s a pet, no matter how small. If they bring you happiness while they’re with you, they’ll be mourned. I cried when I lost my first Dwarf Cichlid, Sebastian. I LOVED that fish. I still miss him.
I so agree! I’m only a couple hours from Hollywood and I always wanted to see the factory. I got to see the Hagen-Renaker factory when I was in HS and it was amazing! But then they had to up’n move on me! Grr!
Welp, if I’m ever in Oregon I’ma definitely bring a fruit basket 😀
Is that Mother Unicorn missing her horn? What’s her story?

I love the “Join the Party” down at the bottom. We were going over the intelligence of propaganda design at the time. To this day propaganda is still some of my favorite graphic design. I think it’s design in its purest, most convincing and raw form.
I have a cat leaf sconce, and I have a Silver Male coming. Would you want to trade those toward the Sun Dragon?
