Oh, Barrdwing! NICE! (I like my old brown male too… way better than the glossy version, but yours has even less orange 8) )
The kinglet is my favorite, hands down. (He’s actually one of my favorite sculpts, period.)
I got him in both rainbow and silver but I don’t like him in rainbow. π³
I love him in silver, and he looks so good with my OW… they have different colored eyes!pixiekissed wrote:are you planning on selling him????
Haha, interested? π
I’ve never thought of selling one, but I might, esp if I can’t get her tail right. (argh) I don’t really like the way the top scales contrast with the green. I love the way the top half turned out… go figure.
I agree! The wolf & copper dragon are both fantastic!

π― that’s a lot of swaps…. π
*sigh* I’m all sad now that I’ve no box to wait for… this was incredibly fun, thanks all! π
I love the slings! I mentioned it in one of eaglefeather’s threads (baby shower?). I preferred them to the baby bjorn (front carrier), but husband preferred the bjorn. The sling that’s best for you & baby will depend on her age and what exactly you want it for. If you’re really after an alternative to the stroller, look at either the maya wrap or the new native baby carrier. For ease in breast feeding, the maya wrap was waaaayyyy better, as the new native baby carrier only worked well when my babies were smaller. As soon as they hit a certain size then it’s only good to carry them around, not breast feed. But, it’s certainly more secure and easier to pack and easier on your back. However, if you are going to get a sling, start wearing Alyssa around the house more & more and get used to it slowly. I used mine all the time and would rarely bring the stroller when we would go to places like the field, zoo, botanical gardens, etc. However, strollers have the advantage of being able to put the baby down as well as being able to store diapers & such without carrying them (if it’s an all day thing). Both have merit.
Didn’t really know it, but I would’ve if I had to think about it (but I’ve never had to think about it).
The whole thing seems iffy anyway… when I was mailing Medley’s traveling muse, I was a wee bit nervous about it and when the PO lady said, “Anything fragile, perishable, hazardous,” etc I hesitated and said, “well, it is fragile, but it’s double boxed and bubble-wrapped.” THEN, I asked if it made any real difference to mark it fragile (remember the commercial where the guy sends himself the chocolate milk marked “fragile” so that it gets handled way worse?) and the Post office lady said (and I do quote): “Well, we try to handle it differently, but not really, no.” So there you have it. π

OMG this thread!!!
I love this forum!Awwww! Monty is lovely! Good for you! π Welcome home, Monty.
YeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaa!!!!! π π This swap is officially complete! I got Lethe today and she is beautiful! She is blue-eyed and gentle and her wings are fabulous! I asked for a wolf with natural colors (greys or browns) but gave more artistic leeway on the wings (which could include blues or reds, respectively). The wings remind me of a Jay and they tie in to the wolf’s fur perfectly. I love her! Thank you GB π
We patrolled the neighborhood today waiting for the postman, to no avail… then turn our backs and a box magically appeared! I was so excited but a little worried as the box was a bit beat up, but the inside was fine! My daughter said, “Is that your wolf?” And I answered, “This is the wolf that was painted for me.” And she said, “By Kujacker?” π I can’t believe she remembered that! So I told her it was from Maria. π
Here she is! (I would normally take pictures in the sunlight, but it’s already getting dark, so these will have to do for now, unless GB has better)
Isn’t she great? *hugs*! & *grins*
Thank you again, GB! She was worth the wait! Your first wolf and mine!
Medley, this has been so great! THANK YOU! Hope you feel up to organizing the next one too π
The side scales are so cool, WSC!
I am the last, but that’s okay! I’ve taken to stalking the mail lady π I was so excited when she shoved that box in my mailbox today, but it was my silver kinglet, not my swap piece (though I am quite happy to have him safe & sound!).
Guess everything’s been leading up to your piece GB! π The question now is which of us will go crazy with waiting first… I know I was pretty worked up over Kujacker getting the piece I painted… and I’m so excited to see what I’ll get, but you must be going crazy too. (I probably shouldn’t post in this thread ’til I get it so you don’t get falsely excited π )pegasi1978 wrote:purplecat wrote:urhg…..I was gonna do one like that to match my earth dragons I’ve done…. π
Looks different enough to me. I say go ahead and do it anyway.
Oh, I def think they’re different! Besides, if you think they’re the same, it’s your set that you’re matching!
I should send you a view from the front, the belly shades pretty quickly into a brown, making them even more distinct πOh congrats! He’s lovely! I’m pretty sure yours is from either Ski or GB.
Guess it’s down to 2! Ski & me… (Think we had 27; at least, that’s what you said in the other thread Medley π )
Ruffian, nice! I kinda figured yours was from Melody too when you wouldn’t say who π
Okay, don’t know if this was ever posted, but I love this! The dog looks so happy with herself (himself?); she knows she’s doing good!
This really made me smile.
