What a LOVELY little snow leopard!
I adore all these little guys. They are so stunning.
July 15, 2021 at 7:26 pm in reply to: GB Standing Hippogriff Discussion and Show Off Thread #1644483Finally broke into my box! Got this gem of a classic giraffe #7. He’s very cute, but I’m trying to diversify my safari herd and already have a giraffe. So if anyone is interested in this guy, let me know! The only ones I am not particularly sold on are the pale tigers and piebald fawns. But I am open to 3-way trades as well ❤️
July 15, 2021 at 11:27 am in reply to: GB Standing Hippogriff Discussion and Show Off Thread #1644388My best friend is visiting today and has never been around when I received a Grab Bag. I promised I would wait for him to open it, since the colt was supposed to arrive today as well. The box arrived a day early, yesterday… The temptation is huge, but I’ve waited this long…

Mine is packed and ready to go to the post office tomorrow! I really hope my recipient likes it.
Melody, you came back with a vengeance! Those little beauties are STUNNING. I’m so excited to see this sculpt coming into production.
I’m glad to hear you are on the mend!
Get your poads, everyone!
YAAAAAS Bantams!
We really need that big PYO dragon………. Or maybe just me. I like how the large front scales are not as fancy, no extra ridge like on the keeper’s bigger scales.
I’m with ya! I love this guy. It’d be super neat to see him finished.
Here is a better look at this guy, from Melody’s Facebook archives!
Maybe one day…
The young unicorn Talleyrand was mine and someone reached out to me on here that wanted him so I ended the auction. I thought that it should go to someone on the forum and even though I would probably miss out on a potential big payday, it would be better for someone here to have him. I really will miss him; but you know how things can get when you really should say good bye.
Things like this are what I love about this community so much. I’m sure you made their day, Sherry!
This was my kick in the pants to actually try a PYO, so I hope my recipient likes the result! It’s been a blast so far. I hope this will be the start of many swaps for me. Thank you again, LZ for orchestrating it!
Etruscan has a good point. There are people who get 1 grab per batch so they end up with 2-3 depending on the number of batches and other people who get zero. Based on the sales from the early batches where it was just one batch, if they didn’t sell out at 1 per person they sold out very quickly once the limit had been lifted.
there was a lot less people back then when the early batches came out, we had DA people sometimes if Melody told them but back then it was a much smaller group of users….now with facebook, there’s a big influx of people, good for Windstone though…anyhoo, I like several batches better, I like being able to get a safari and not a giraffe or a horse/etc which I wouldn’t have wanted, makes it much easier to get what you want….
I believe that both Etruscan and FatalBeauty are correct. I do think breaking it down into smaller groups makes them sell out faster but I also agree that the new collectors are contributing to the quick sells. I am still partial to smaller groups, but I do like the suggestion of one item per release, regardless of groups. I believe the last time that was done with the sitting oris?
