Sounds like everyone had a great Thanksgiving ! I know I did, but Im paying for it now…. this awful bloated feeling… *ughh* …. over eating does NOT agree with my stomach, since I do have some stomach issues, you would think I would know better, but seems I never learn, LOL ! Oh well, now to cut down until Halloween when its time for more treats, LMAO !
I also totally agree !! I may only be a new Windstone Collector, but I truly appreciate the work and talent that go into these ! I wish I had started collecting these ages ago ! My only fear is that someday Melody may retire, and stop producing new amazing sculpts ! Oh dear, that would be so horrible if Windstone was no longer open for business…. *tries not to think about it* …. 🙂
Thats so freaking cool !! I love ghostbusters as well, and Bill Murray is my fav ! Likely will be one of the movies I watch this month, gotta get some classics in for Halloween 😉
So, question- Can only one photo be submitted? Or can a person take multiple photos to show different angles of the windstone dressed up ? I dont want to confuse the judges by sending in too many pics, so Id like to know before hand which would be preferred 😉
Thanks !!
That is a pretty one! Love the muted shades! It’s almost a pastel foxy. 😀
I’m with you too Amstaff. I don’t mind it so much if it’s on a Russian Domestic Fox that was born to be a pet, but not on fur foxes (although even they started originally with fur animals.) Sadness.
Agreed 🙂 And I think that a fox would be so cute as a pet. These domesticated foxes are so much more friendly than their wild-counterparts, and they smell less, and even display dog-like behaviours such as tail-wagging!
And Sikek, I love your foxes! I think the first one looks like butterscotch-ripple ! Very pretty.

I agree Amstaff. The colour variations on foxes are so pretty but it’s weird to think of them being part of the fur trade. I make sure to not buy from stores that sell real fur on their clothes and coats.
Anyway, this is Ferlin1984’s second fox. I like the soft colours on it a lot!
Oh wow, love this color to, especially the front paws. I kinda wish I had gotten 2 of this sculpt now, lol !
Oh wow !! That sounds like SOOO much fun !! Hrrmmm…. I wonder if I can come up with something half decent? LOL!
Awww, your red fox is adorable Amstaff! I think that’s a Georgian White if I’m not mistaken colour wise. Love the panda patches over the eyes! 😀 (Also yay for no customs, eee! I think customs are random.) Still waiting for mine – it has ‘left originating country’ but that was four days ago – poo!
Thanks Falcolf! And I thought it was a Georgian White as well, until I did some more research. I now think it is a Platina-Marble Fox, you can see more details here : http://livingwithfoxes.weebly.com/colour-morphs.html …. some of the color variants are very similar though, so it is hard to be 100% sure (unless Melody could say, yup, thats the one I painted, lol !)
One side-note- I do love these fox sculpts, and the colors are all amazing. The one thing I do NOT like though, is the fact that the majority of these colors came about due to the ranching of foxes- being bred and raised for the fur trade. I dont think that these are naturally occurring color mutations. Anywho….. thats another topic and I wont go on, as I dont want to cause this thread to go off-topic any further, lol ! 🙂
Got one of these little guys today with my GB foxes, and I adore her ! I would love to get more of these, and may try sneak them on on future Windstone orders, lol !
Got mine !! Totally did not expect him this fast ! He got here in 5 business days, and went from Richmnond BC to here in NS in 2 days !!! And NO custom fees !!! And I just adore him !!
And a few group shots…. I got me a cute little TadPoad to ! He is absolutely adorable !! And he insisted on trying to get in the pics, and wanted to be the center of attention, along with the cute little Fuzzy ! 😉

I feel as if I have hijacked this thread… so sorry !
I have only made 2 orders from Windstone so far. The first was a larger box and was valued at $100, the second a small box but valued over $150. I got dinged on both of those. My foxes that are enroute are also over $150, so I also may get hit with customs, but where it seemed to pass through there so fast, according to tracking, maybe I got lucky? I will know next week hopefully… Guess I should place orders of a smaller value to avoid customs fees? I just wanted to get a much as I could in an order, to make good use of the shipping fees. (And yes, I will surely mark any I send to the US, as gifts with a lower value, to avoid causing fees. I also know that getting them sent to me marked this way is helpful to, if bought via private sales or trades.)
It just seems lately that Canada Customs are charging more and more parcels as of late… and the handling fees for customs have also gone up, from like $5 to $10, which is added onto the customs fees… the Gov’t is trying to make extra money to pay off their debts… arrgh ! :/
I’ve never yet been dinged for customs on a windstone and I always choose the cheapest shipping. I kind of think part of it is luck. Dunno. I was charged shipping on a ring that I ordered and a hoodie, but never on a windstone. Yet, anyway. 🙂 (Hopefully it never comes to ‘yet.’)
Lucky you! I got charged a total of $60 so far… for just 2 orders… really cuts into my play money 🙁
Thank you 😉 I love halloween and fall, this is a great thread !
