So, I ended up getting ExpressPost shipping to myself here in Nova Scotia, and what normally takes sometimes close to 3 weeks, should now be here in 3-5 business days ! So thats Wednesday at the earliest (Since Monday is a holiday here). Lets hope customs doesnt decide to play with it for too long, and maybe it will even zip by them without me getting charged customs fees *crosses fingers*
If his reasons for ending the relationship are valid (and think long and hard on that. Sometimes we rush to agree with everything someone says when we’re afraid to lose them) you can work towards overcoming those problems.
This ! These are indeed words of wisdom. I tend to think that if someone truly loves a person, and they are in a relationship together, then they work together to keep the relationship healthy and strong. This means talking to each other if something about the other person bothers them, keeping things civil at the same time, and try to work towards a solution. Just out-right breaking up with you, without even sitting down to discuss the things that were bothering him doesnt seem fair. (Unless communication wasnt easy in your relationship?)
Anywho, the details are none of my business. Just remember, not everything has to be YOUR fault. It takes 2 to work together to make a relationship work, and one person walking away without trying to work things out just doesn’t seem fair.
Being broken-hearted has to be the worst feeling in the world 🙁 So Im so very sorry you have to go through this 🙁 Just try to stay strong, and dont ever think you deserved this.. cause you didnt. *hugs*
I was planning on trying for a fancy one myself until I found out the prices when the site was down. The sucky thing is I had about $250 in my account but when I figured it out with the shipping and Canadian exchange rate, it would have cost me about $280 to get a fancy one so I didn’t have enough. I was really hoping they would be under $150 but at least the plain ones were less so I could get one. I still had to pay over $180 to get a plain one though so this low dollar now is killing me! When the U.S. and Canada were on par it was so nice to be able to be able to buy more stuff from the U.S. I really hope the grab bag cougars aren’t over $200.
I heard that. 😐 When I did the math, a fancy would end up costing $100 more than a plain tanuki, and that’s assuming that they slip past Customs without any added duty (which seems to happen less and less now). I was leaning towards getting fancy tanuki, but I couldn’t stomach the price it would cost after currency conversion and customs fees.
Yes, being in Canada makes it VERY hard to be a Windstone Collector… the Dollar is so bad. I think its like .75cents to the US dollar? *ughhh* …. with the exchange, and THEN the customs fees (which I agree, we almost always get hit with that now…) its puts the price wayyy up. So add on another $50 cnd for customs fees… and it really hits the pocket books. Im hoping by some chance the box sneaks past customs, lol ! I did splurge and got a Fancy…. I still cant believe I did it… but oh well, and after HOURS of trying to get into the store and snag one (thank god Mom was here to help keep an eye on the website for me!) Wondering what I will get ! 🙂
I like them both… but if I had to choose this time around, Id say all fancy.

Im thinking also one per person between the 2 batches. I know I would love one of each, but Im worried they are going to go fast. Therefor Id rather get one at least, instead of none 😉
Ohhh… and the fantasy ones are gorgoeus ! That one with the tortoise shell back…. *grabby hands* ! But I do love the plain ones also !
I recently bought a tablet so I can stay ‘better connected’ BUT, the thing is WiFi is not easily found, especially at work where its ALL on lock down 🙁 Oh dear…since the grab bags always come out while Im at work, maybe I will be on break and can hit the local Tims for some free internet, LOL! *crosses fingers*
Amstaff, I had the same problem while at work, but most of the fast food restaurants now have wi-fi for their customers. Just be cautious because public wi-fi is less secure and more susceptible to hacking. Don’t use for banking, etc.
Oooo…. yeah I kinda figured public wouldnt be as secure… but I may have to use paypal if Im gonna snag a Grab Bag while at work, lol !

Yeah Kim, he is an awesome color, none of my Baby Hoppy Poads even look like him, so he will be a great addition to my collection. I love the tadpoads 😉 He has a solid orange (or red?) back, and looks amazing ! 🙂
I just want to send out a very special thank you to PrairieVixen !! She decided to share her wealth of Hoppy TadPoads ! She came to me and asked me if I would like to buy one of hers at store price since I had missed out on buying another when the store restocked. So instead of her using her extra cutie to trade for another she may have liked, she instead was kind hearted enough to let me buy him !

Oh.. and lucky me missed the restocking of the tadpoads…. since I had to take a friend of mine out for her Birthday. Oh well, guess it was worth it 😛
There were about a dozen more of these guys that were waiting for me to touch up, so those will get put in the store soon.
