Well, I’m glad to hear I’m not alone; misery loves company =P There’s no way I can pick this stuff out now without wrecking it; it’s imbedded into the surface after like ten coats/layers of white airbrushed on after. By the time I saw it, it was too late. I agree it’s probably gunk in the air that settled and I think is more noticeable on the white surfaces >.< Probably doesn't help I need more coats of white for even coverage than any other color resulting in more layers (and therefore more opportunities) for stuff to get stuck. White is my new nemesis -.-
Anyways, I’m looking forward to your appy, abatos. π
And sorry to hear that, Syn789. As already mentioned, Susie can probably help. I have a brown griffin chick that I got from the store with black dots on it and Windstone was willing to exchange it.
Me too, lol, this thread certainly made me feel a whole lot better! π
Ouch! After each layer I painstakingly pick out the dust bits with the end of a fine brush, I feel your pain in this regard, lol.Thank you so much! π She’s my 2nd PYO. I’m trying to paint her based off a boulder opal gem, so an ‘opal-oosa’ (cheesy, I know, lol).
Ahh, I splurged and bought a wolf one, I’m so happy! π

Really? π If he’s still there in a month maybe I’ll be lucky! π

XD me too, but don’t worry, I’m hoping for a wolf one!
I use Golden brand paint as well…I think it’s just that incessant dust seemingly appearing out of thin air too! Argh, lol!
I’m really tempted on the Wolf Male Griffin…may have to wait a couple more paychecks though…lol π³
lol, I thought I was the only one! I’m painting a blanket appy right now and keep finding tiny specks of stuff I have to carefully pick out each brush stroke!
Congratulations Purpleturtle, that’s wonderful! π
They sound beautiful! I can’t wait to see and hopefully buy a wolf one, thank you Melody! π
Melody wrote:kitsunelady wrote:Are the spirit wolves you painted the small one, or the big candlelamp? o.o
I have painted the candle lamp Winged, large “Spirit Wolf” in husky and wolf colors for the store. I also have painted a few “Wolf Council” candle lamps in wolf colors for ebay.
Oh wow, thank you so much Melody, I really cannot wait to see these, especially the “Wolf Council” candle lamps! I remember asking that before in June, lol, and am happy to see you were able to paint some! π
I have my fingers crossed that I’m able to buy a wolf painted Spirit Wolf in the store! Don’t think I’ll be able to win one of the councils though. Will the store ones be separated between Husky or Wolf colours or will the purchase be a random surprise, lol?Thank you! π
Melody wrote:abatos wrote:Hi Melody,
sorry if this has been asked before but I was just curious if you’ve ever been inspired to paint something based off a nautilus?
I was imagining a design on a Poadβ’β’…I think that would be really neat!Thank you :).
Yes, possibly! I love Nautilises. They have markings somewhat like a cuttle fish, with beautiful patterns of stripes.
Can nautilises change colors like a cuttle fish?Yay, thank you! While watching that Nautilus ‘puff’ itself around in the water on Planet Earth, thought how striking its pattern would look painted on a Poad or other Windstone piece! π
I hope everything works out for you and your husband! I think it’s wonderful what you do, adopting and taking care of horses in need :).
Wishing well thoughts for you!machineguts wrote:Bummer! π We can ship you some! π
Hehe okay! LOL XD
Happy Birthday! π
