Pretty, pretty! I will be interested to see how high this one goes. I have dealt with this seller with about 5 pieces and I can say his pieces are truly mint and he packs bomb proof.
He also wanted me let the forum members know (since he has already had several inquiries) that he does have the other black unicorn family pieces in stock if you’re interested. Contact him at ultdragonian(AT)yahoo.com
After your comment I had to Google Birmans. I see what you mean about not having a white nose. While I don’t mean to offend any Birman owners/lovers out there, I do like the white nose better. Either way I still think the color scheme looks nice.
Melody,
I recently received one of the LP Birmans (small flapper) from the factory and absolutely love the detail on it. I noticed you used a shimmery cream color (pearl?) on the wings that goes very well with the color scheme.
I was wondering if you will be changing the larger Birman flappers to have the same pearly wing color in the future? I have one from the batch before last and the wings are a very matte white. While I still like her very much I think she would look awesome with the pearl. What are your thoughts?

Thats what I said. (passes chocolates)
(takes a chocolate and adds some cookies – keeps passing them) I’m with you guys. At least we can window shop and drool over them. 😀
I would love to see a detailed pic too because the little I see in the picture already posted it looks like a Scottish design. (Then again, I’m no architect.)
That was so funny! Thanks for posting it.

How fun would it be to work for Melody?

yeah! just south of them. i’ll be eather an hour-two hours away just about. We are looking at a house in Myrtle Point.
If you need help finding stuff or anything else, just let me know. I’ll help you out. I live in Eugene and work in Corvallis.
purplecat wrote:What happens to your original sculpts once they’ve been cast and produced? I know the sculpture changes as the castings are improved. I was just curious. 😀 Do you have sculpts like all over your house or what? 😀
That is a wonderful question. I would also be curious as to what type of changes are made to sculpts over time (even though they look the same). The reason I was wondering is that I showed Melody my white mother unicorn and she said that it was a really old one (it was 10 years old and I hadn’t told her) and she was showing Chessie something on the side. Apparently there are sculpture changes that an untrained eye wouldn’t have noticed.

I asked this, too. Anybody know? I would definitely buy two sets (bird and bat) if Melody made them.
Oh heck yea! I’m there! *squeak* *squeak*
Please make them limited production (not limited edition) because I can’t afford those now. 🙁
Here is the one for the Black Grand Unicorn.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Too bad we can’t do more to help. 🙁
That is a terrible situation all the way around. I do hope you get the models back. I would concur that you’re probably out your commission price though. I can understand her not wanting to broadcast her medical issues, but when they got to that point, she should have told her customers the gist of what was going on.

There are some days when he comes home and tries to tell me how his day was and I don’t really want to listen cause it scares the hell out of me! My grandfather also climed power poles for a living (in the middle of blizzards!) 😯
I can completely understand (ignorance can be bliss). My hat’s off to those who do this kind of work. It’s one of those things where we use power and electricity everyday, but give so little thought to who has to keep the system up and running.

Yeah, I know I wasn’t asked.Thats perfectly ok. I like your answer just the same 😆
Well….they are a ‘pair’. It would be like having only one shoe of a pair.
So I think you’re right, it counts as one. I know, I wasn’t asked either.
Hey, whatever works!
Here are the certs for the IVEP sitting spectral and lap. I will need to up load the pic I have of the Black Unicorn cert I took a picture of. It was really well done.
