I’ve been here about 17 years and it can vary quite a bit. Here is a brief run-down.
Spring – Very nice. Temp can range from High 50s-low70s. If you have any type of hay fever/allergies you will have them acting up about May – July. We are, after all one of largest grass seed growers in the world.
Summer – Very nice. Late July – Sept it can get quite hot 80s-high 90s. It’s rare to have over 100 in the valley. The coast is a wonderful temp in the 70s, but we can get it trapped here down in the valley.
Fall – Sept is usually pretty hot, sunny and warm. By Oct-Dec it can get cold 50s (sometimes 40s) and will be dark and dreary due to the rain. Assume rain most of the time.
Winter – Dec to Feb still more of the same for rain and just cold (50s). Every few years, like this winter we have snow in the valley. The cycle had been about every 5 years, but it doesn’t seem to be holding true. About every 3 years now. We do get the occasional small hail or freezing temps (sometimes in Dec, but more likely in Jan and Feb). We have very temperate weather in the last two weeks of Feb of this year, but it will get rainy again before true spring is here.
Hope this helps. If you need more info, just let me know.

We are in the process of moving now.Our building here in North Hollywood is made up of “units”. We are moving out of each unit as fast as we can. We are going to keep running the casting and painting for a while longer. Then we will shut the casting dept. down, pack it up and move it.
We will continue to paint things that we already have cast ’till we pretty much get that inventory finished and boxed. Thats the best way to move it, otherwise we would need to pack thousands of unfinished pieces somehow…The estimated ( or hoped-for date) to have the majority of Windstone moved is end of March. Maybe.OMG! That is quick for such a large operation. You must have a mastermind running logistics.

Rusti, I’m just trying to help out – not busting in on your thread…
This is the style, but it would be green not blue.
I concur it works really well. If you’re worried about messing up the pads, just put a few small balls around the edge of the pad where there is painted gypsum. That way it will have mininum contact with the pad.
I have found no problem moving it. Just remember to twist as you lift and the seal should be broken just fine.
Here is a demo/instruction video:

Use the putty, but steer away from the “gel” (clear) because it might soak into the pad. The regular white putty should be fine though.

I agree, that was funny.
It was like you had invited us over for dinner and we got to listen in. Pretty cool.

Wow! You received him already? That was pretty quick. Excellent. I’m glad it worked out.

I know who’s house I’m visiting…. 😈
That is an intense collection! You have them so nicely displayed, it’s like the Windstone Museum. How much is admission? 😀

PMed you.

Panic and disappointment blur out any rational thoughts… but as long as that’s an admission that she’s still safe, I’ll laugh now. 😆 8)
Me too. I was concerned she really had done it. Now I can relax.

Muse – pawn
Unicorn – knight
Wolf – bishop
Little Dragon – rook
Keeper – queen
Griffin – KingOr something. 😀
That’s a good set, but the wizard isn’t getting any love. Although I do like the muse as the pawn. Poor muse. 😆
PMed you.
I am old enough to remember the original Knight Rider series and didn’t want to ruin my taste for it, so I didn’t watch. Yes, back in the day Hasselhoff was the man! (Eighties hair and all!)
Since you guys seem to be ok with it, I might tune-in if they re-air it. How was the theme song? Did it still have the guitar riff? LOL!
foxfeather wrote:I really hope the Poachers or Trophy hunters don’t get him. 😕
Real Hunters wouldn’t go after him if they know about how rare he is. I have several friends who hunt and all of them and their buddies hunt for the meat not the trophy and wouldn’t touch this guy! well maybe with their camera….
Yes, you’re right. I spoke out of turn. I have nothing against real hunters who actually hunt for food and use most or all of the animal.
