Awesome photos! I love the fungi pics. If you ever get a chance, I would love to see the underside, gill area, of a true chantarell. All I have seen are the false ones and would love to see a real one for comparison.

          You have a wonderful eye.

Bugger painted in a dragonish sooty buckskin. This is a test paint. That is, a test to see if I could paint. lol

< Are black muzzles on grey donkeys unusual? All of the ones I have seen have white muzzles.

I have looked around and on line and found a few dark muzzles but I do believe they are not very common.

Interesting coloration. Is it modeled after something in particular? 🙂

Nope. lol I was just playing around with colors.

Ok I know I have a looooooong way to go in the paint talent department. Still, he was more fun to paint than I thought. He does have quite a few nooks and crannies that are a challenge to get to.

                            That is cool! Great photo.

Serious question…. While you were trekking around the woods up there did you happen to see any sign of the North American Ape? I hear that is good country for them.

Wow. I got the reference wrong. It is drop water on him, not feed after midnight. Water makes “babies” and feeding after midnight makes the babies ugly and mean. lol

I guess this is what happens if you feed him after midnight. (I wonder how many people will get that reference)
