Well, I promised I wouldn’t until I’d finished buying the Black Golds, but I broke down and bought a Silver Male today. Ever since they retired the Peacocks on me, I live in fear that the color I like will get retired before I am able to buy all the sculps I liked. I was afraid all the silvers would be gone before I got a chance to get them.

Yes, I was impressed by that. It was a decent remix too. I loved Knight Rider back in the eighties. Usually don’t like the new remakes though. What they did to Dukes of Hazzard… (shudders).
Honestly though, my favorite of the old eighties shows along this line was Airwolf. Loved that theme song. Wanted to marry the actor that played Stringfellow Hawk.
Well, I’ve tried Crystal Fantasy in Ventura, CA and they only have a storefront open from Thanksgiving to a couple of weeks after New Year’s. That might be worth noting on the list.
I watch about 30 minutes. Of course, between the commercials, close-ups of the car and the opening credits, that meant I saw about 10 minutes of story. Didn’t capture my attention so I turned to the History channel.
I love the dragon! You can really see where the inspiration comes from. It’s such a complex pattern. I could never muster the patience required for that even if I had the skills.

Good luck; Im sure youll find one and Im sure there will be more batches made. If Im online when they release again, I’ll grab you one of each or whatever is released. Have another back up other than me though, cause winter horse show season has started and I suddenly have no time 🙂
Thanks PhoenixTears! I really appreciate it. As far as the silvers go, it doesn’t really matter to me the color of eyes. I just want one. I figure right now we will have to wait until the move is over. I was just hoping someone might have one left over.

*sniff sniff* Now I have the money saved from the Green Riser and the Poad. I hope another comes up soon. I NEED to win an auction soon before i burst 😆
I wanted this one pretty bad myself. I am comforting myself with the thought that there will be another one. That one will probably be pretty expensive too though.
I’m sorry to hear about your friend. My best wishes to you.
If I only had thirty days, I would visit Tokyo and try to climb Mt Fuji. Then i would spend the rest of my time with family and friends.
Congrats setsunawolf! 😀 I didn’t realize it was you who won. I’m glad it went to a forum member.
Well, I know that so many people were bidding right at the end that I couldn’t get my bid in. I wouldn’t have won it but that’s never happened to me before.
The person who won it only had ten transactions on Ebay.
I tried to buy from them one time. I tried to purchase a peacock mother after they retired. I put it in my cart and the purchase went through at the price of $99 (I think). I then received an email from them telling me that the item was no longer in stock. That very day I checked their website, and they still had the peacock mom listed but at a price that was $100 higher then what I supposedly purchased it for! Definately shady practices there. I would never buy from them.
I’m looking for a silver or old green curlie. I thought a couple of people bought extras, so if anyone has one looking for a home I would be extremely grateful.
Does anybody know when some more old green and silver curls will be up again. I’ve managed to miss them every time so far, and I would really like to get one of each.
lamortefille wrote:These are general, “I’m just curious” questions… I can certainly understand why sellers are PO’d at Ebay and won’t be doing business with them anymore….anyway:
Do you think most of your bids come from fellow Forum members, non-members, or a healthy mix of both? Considering all of the new eBay fees, do you think selling on the Forum exclusively would keep you in a more profitable position?
The only problem I have with people selling on the Forum, is often they don’t have a starting “bid”. It makes it hard to know if I’m insulting the person with my offer. I’m not a cheap person, but it’s hard to know what a person might find insulting.
Any thoughts?
I have the same problem when I make offers for the items here. I’m afraid that if I offer too little, the artist is going to get insulted. Usually though, it’s just a little back and forth barter until both parties are happy.
For me it has nothing to do with the nose. It just looks silly. I just think it’s an ugly paint scheme. I think it makes it harder to see the detail of the sculpture and takes away from the intrinsic beauty of the artwork. That, of course, is just a personal opinion.
