All things considered, we may need a piranha emoticon. :shout: (a cute one of course)
That Amethyst color looks lovely on everything so far! Congrats to everyone who nabbed what they were aiming for. I’m guessing there’ll be second and third batches, so I really hope everyone who wants one will get one. And here’s to a fourth batch of curlies several months from now when I don’t have to behave so much. squeek*
Ha! Those are great. 😆
Here’s one.
Did you hear about the fire at the circus?

It was in-tents.*flees*
June 12, 2009 at 6:34 am in reply to: Did anyone's Second-batch Amethyst Curlie have extra orange? #768745Wow. I liked the color before I saw those orange highlights, but those little bits of orange contribute so much!
IMO anyway.
Whoa. I’m more into dragons so will skip this round, but man, that’s the prettiest Windstone kitty I’ve ever seen!
Aye, and they are most fearsome when I oversplurge. :shout:
😆 😆 😆
Alas, I must (mostly) behave now or the disgruntled trout-wielding army will get me… That color is lovely on him. Hope there’s a fourth batch eventually. 😕
Those completed pictures are a delight to behold. Beautifully done! 😀
Gah! Sorry guys. For the unpacking trouble, though not the packing job itself. Seeing what can go wrong in shipping (and having dinged more than one of my own little sweeties from minor clumsiness) I’ve become a wee bit paranoid when it comes to packing… 😮 XD
I saw the photos in your tutorial thread Drag0nfeathers, he looks great! It’s so good to see the fellow in one handsome piece!
Yup, I pounced on that sale today.
But it is a crying shame. A few years back, there was a lovely little store just 25 minutes from me in a nice location, with an excellent selection and friendly competent people working there. They didn’t close-close, but they closed their physical location to sell online. Darn I miss ’em. 🙁
Or it could be something in the water… 😆 Congrats guys! And thank you Leigha, for the heads up about the store.
Drove down to Oakridge and splurged. Got their Black Gold Emperor, the Sunset Mother Griffin and her Sunset Crouching Chick. My first Emperor and griffins! And holy mackerel, they match! 😆 Well worth a three hour round trip. Will post pics when I can.
Must now behave for a very long while… Please guys, beat me with a large trout if I look sideways at anything more than an unpainted PYO keeper for the next few months. 🙄
I listed their inventory so as of noon today, Armor Geddon in Oakridge has or had:
White Male Unicorn
Female Wolf Griffin (very handsome one IMO)
Crouching Sunset Chick
Black Gold Fledgling (chipped)
Paper Tiger (chipped)
Owl Sconce
Dragon Sconce
Hippogriff Candle Holder
The Critic gargoyle bookends (chipped pair)
Stone Dragon bookends (pair)I kinda melted over the Black Gold chipped fledgling so if anyone here gets it, please tell me, I’d like to know where he went.
Darn it, I’m in the flipping Bay Area and don’t know a single place within an hour of me with a good selection. Must… fix… somehow…
Great deals are already showing up, I’m afraid. I got a pair of stone finish critters for fifty (with shipping), and two stunning mint condition retired Mother Dragons for sixty and seventy apiece, (plus shipping) in the last few months.
I lurk, scavenge and often get outbid… but that doesn’t explain my excellent run of luck. 😕
I absolutely love getting bargain-price pretties on my shelf, but when other bidders are doing triage and deciding they prefer utilities and dinner to outbidding me… that’s kind of a canary in a coal mine for my own situation. Unfortunate little catch 22. 🙁
The really ironic thing is, it looks great. 😮 Very handsome and dragony shade.
Tempted to squeak for a limited run of a pre-faded tone. 😆
That is exceptionally good news! Here’s to the last 5% 🙂
What horrific underwear stories… :shout:
I’d love some kind of winged hound-critter, but the Scratching Dogs are the only Windstone non-wolf canines I know of. Got one, and adore it. 🙂
Last I checked, mmloda has one available here. http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8737&start=60
The dark dun color’s awesome. With a metallic tone or two on the wings, something similar might look great on a pegasus or a griffin. squeek* squeek* squeek*
