Had some terrific BBQ trout at the employee appreciation picnic a while ago.
Recipe
Marinate trout, or other mild fish, tilapia would work. in Italian dressing overnight. BBQ on grill, skin side down, if your fish doesn’t have skin on, then lay some tin foil on the grill and put a little oil or butter to keep it from sticking. While it is cooking, sprinkle some lemon herb seasoning and some paprika on it. When done, in about 7 mins on high, eat!
Great stuff, really really tasty and doesn’t taste like fish at all.
Also, I with you guys on unagi…oh how I love that stuff…sushi is just yummy all around. It helps that we have an All you Can Eat Sushi place here. Gotta love it!

Tortilla roll ups
Mix chopped green onions, 1 block of cream cheese, and some diced ham or bacon together. Add however much of each ingredient as you wish, I usually use most of a bundle of green onions, 2 blocks of cream cheese and at least 8 oz of ham. It makes quite a bit of roll ups.
Spread over large tortilla about a 1/8 inch thick, roll up tortilla and then cut into 1 inch pieces, like sushi. Repeat on another tortilla until you run out of mix.
This one is really easy and quick. Store in fridge until ready to eat.

Wow is that ever gorgous, but unfortunately all I can do is drool on her. *sigh*
If you don’t sell her and something changes though, I would be interested.
Just have to see I guess. Hang in there.

They look really good together, and the beads are starting to grow on me a little.
Great job.

I want a crack at fixing him, if no one has beaten me to it, Kujacker.

Unfortunately, though she made it through most of the night, she somehow escaped her nestbox and flopped herself into the middle of the livingroom. Since she had no feathers and the house was only around 65 degrees or so, she got too cold and expired.
My husband found her when he woke up in the morning. I had to be at work at 3am, so I wasn’t there.
I was really disappointed, even though I knew she was going be a lot of work, I was so hoping we’d manage to raise her successfully, I never would have thought she would have been able to lever herself out of that box, but she must have. She was pretty strong.

pfft I think that’s a maximum out theater holds…
Welcome to NJ – the land of chain theaters. I was pretty happy – there weren’t ANY kids. Normally I don’t mind kids but a friend and I had a bad experience at Spiderman III a couple of weeks ago. The people behind us had young kids. One of them kept sitting on dad’s lap and kicking the heck out of the back of my seat. At one point the two kids were playing on the stairs next to me – VERY distracting. Finally, when one of them starting crying at the top of her lungs in my friend’s ear the dad took her out. They were way too young to enjoy Spiderman. I realize the parents wanted it to see it but I can’t imagine they enjoyed the movie – dad missed the last third of it.
This is why I always loved having a drive in, unfortunately we don’t anymore. But it was great, your kids could fuss and bounce and be loud all they wanted and the only ones they would annoy would be you as the parents. We usually had the kiddo in his car seat and one of us would stay in the car and the other would sit on a chair in front of the car, and we’d trade off so not too much of the movie got missed due to kiddo antics.

Oh wow, both of those are really neat! I especially like the little fish the kirin is based on, wow is that a cool beta.
Congrats to you guys!

Okay, today I was out at a friend’s house and the kids come and report a baby bird on the ground.
Go investigate, yep..brand new, still has her egg tooth baby sparrow on the ground, with barely any fuzz on her. Poor baby, I can’t find the nest she was flung out of, we’ve been having hell winds all week. Anyway the poor thing was chirping and beggingm little yellow mouth wide open.
So I brought her home, investigated how to care for her and am now a surrogate mommy to a sparrow. She’s eaten pretty good so far, and is curled up asleep in my bra atm, hey…it’s warm there!
the biggest worry now is how to keep her fed and warm while I am sleeping or at work..she needs fed every hour or so…

I want the jade, but competing on eBay is out of my league, the prices get ridiculous way too fast.

Okay, here are the two kirins together, and by some miracle this picture is really good too.
