Congrats to the winners. I’ll be contacting you guys later today after I get back from the raptor rehab.
Just a little less than a day to go!
Everything’s updated as far as offers go. 😀 Just as a reminder, I’m taking offers until noon EST on the 11th, and I will take payments within reason. I take Paypal or postal money orders as far as payment options. All these items have their original Windstone boxes and will be double boxed using those and plenty of packing peanuts. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
I’m so thrilled that I’m going to be able to help the rehab, and I know they’re going to be floored when I give them the check.
My next volunteer day is Friday, I’ll be sure to share some pics and videos when I get back. I had no idea we had so many raptor fans. 🙂
If I didn’t already have one, I’d take him. I love those silvers. Now, if you decide you need to sell a mother silver let me know. 😉
Sure did. 😀 I hope to do some volunteer work there this summer.
That’s very true of this place, Jennifer. I feel so bad for them every time I go in. I look in the freezer, and they can barely even afford the rats to feed these guys. I wish I could do more, but we’re broke right now. I think everyone is. But in my heart, this is the cause I am meant for.
I have a few videos from my visits in my youtube account if anyone would like to see them:
http://www.youtube.com/user/kachinabettaThe rehab’s website is linked from there if anyone is interested in poking around and learning more. I’m not trying to drum up donations, but a couple people had PM’d me wanting to give a few bucks and I’d feel more comfortable if it was sent directly to the rehab so there’s no questions of whether or not I’m honest. Plus it’s tax deductable.
And of course if anyone lives near enough to drive this far, I’d love to introduce the birds and show you around. Here’s a small pic of the place.
You can see how badly the flights on the left there need some repairs, and that’s why I’m selling the Windstones.I have everything updated with what I’ve received so far. Really, thank you from the bottom of my heart guys. And I’m sure the birds will appreciate it, too. 😀
I’ve decided to sell a few of my Windstone pieces to help out the raptor rehab where I volunteer. They’re a real shoestring operation and spring cleaning is coming up fast. I’d love to donate so they can purchase some building supplies, and that’s more important to me than the dragons. So I’ll offer them up here and hopefully won’t have to mess with ebay. I WILL take payments, but everything is nonrefundable and the piece won’t be shipped until payment is received in full. In other words, no paying 99% of it, then deciding you want your money back.
All pieces will be double boxed using their original Windstone packaging, and I use plenty of packing materials. I will insure! If you see something you like, make an offer and I’ll keep track of the high offers here in this thread. No, I won’t sell for less than they originally went for, so there’s your starting prices. (Except the 2 current production OWs)

You are welcome any time, I mean that. The only bird there I haven’t met yet is the Bald Eagle named Thunder. She’s kept at the director’s house and he handles her. We have 3 great horned owls, a black vulture, a broadwing hawk, 4 cute little screech owls, Annie the redtail hawk, a barred owl that’s almost ready for release, and a barred owl in the ICU with head trauma who won’t eat on his own. Yesterday that little owl took his mouse pieces from me without me having to pry his beak open and I could’ve danced for joy.
I go on Sundays and am there by myself. It’s very soothing for my soul to sit for half an hour next to Annie and touch/talk to her. Not a sound save the raptors and the wind through the blanket of dead leaves we still have.

I love these animals. Here’s the rehab website if anyone is interested.
http://www.wvrrc.org/welcome.htmAwesome news. DZ, if you ever get out this way, I’d love to introduce you to my hawk, owl, and eagle friends at the raptor rehab center where I volunteer. My best pal is a 22 year old redtail named Annie who is just sweet as can be even though she’s getting a little long in the tooth.
Yep, I stared at it for a week or so before I finally jumped on it. I can’t believe no one else snagged it. Probably someone needed the cash and sold it to him.
Congrats on the griffin, they look nice together!
I finally got my hands on the white OW I’ve had on layaway. Thank you Dave (Astral Castle). You rock!
Now the only one I’m missing is gold and I’m not in any hurry since it’s production and rainbow will hopefully make its appearance soon.

I’m wondering that myself. I start my new volunteer gig at the raptor rehab this afternoon and though working with hawks and eagles is great if I miss those OWs I’ll be a sad panda.
March 14, 2008 at 1:15 am in reply to: Wanted Peacock Old Warrior Dragon, Anyone have one for sale? #679267Keep an eye on ebay. I got one very recently for $125 and he’s only got 2 tiny chips. I had to look hard to find them to touch up.
