Good advice so far. A couple of things that might help “convince” me to buy from a seller are reasonable or exact shipping costs as well as the ability to combine shipping if more than one item is bought from you.
Make sure you offer insurance (you would be surprised how many people don’t list it and you have to email them about it. π )
Be clear about the condition of the ornament, box, etc. We know from buying Windstones how items don’t always arrive as described (either on purpose or by accident).
Advise in your listing that people should ask questions before they bid on your item. Also be sure to mention your pets and that your house is non-smoking (if it is).
Will all sales be final or will you offer refunds under certain conditions?
I always include insurance into my shipping costs. It is only a little over a dollar more, and I think it gives buys a peace of mind. Also I don’t want to have money come out of my pocket if USPS screws up.
Also do not claim something is in MINT condition unless you are REALLY sure. There are alot of anal collectors out there (me included π ), and I hate dealing with returns, or negative feedback, just because of a factory defect. I always say “new in box” if the item hasn’t been displayed, or near mint.

And to answer your question WindtoneCollector- legally yes, any publication of Windstone materials needs to go though Melody, John, etc. π
Yay! It would be cool to also have a “Behind the Scenes” section, where you go through the production process, with lots of pics. It would make a great coffee table book.
OR if you want to make a small “guide book” that can fit in one of the logostones that would be great too. I think I’m going to buy one but it looks so empty, without anything in the slot, and I don’t want to put a catalog in it, since I’m not a dealer or anything π
Dragon Master wrote:I go all the way back to the VERY first one. Now since I have NEVER sold yet can I ask do you think it would be better to sell them individually or in groups? Like the whole Holiday series together. Also the New Year’s group etc…???
Try to sell them individually first. Those that don’t sell on the first or second run throughs, you might consider selling them in a group. If they are ornaments you might want to wait about a month more, if you can, so it would be closer to Christmas. It would draw in more ornament collectors as well as the Barbie ones. And you never know someone might NEED that last Barbie ornament to complete their tree this year. Try to have your auctions END on either Thursday night (7-10 pm)or Sunday night (7-10pm). I find that those are the prime times that people, are on. Friday and Saturday nights some people are out, enjoying the weekend (I know I am), and away from their computers. Check “completed auctions” to see what kind of prices your Barbies go for. Good luck again!
Wow…good job! π
Dragon Master wrote:Since I may have to start selling thing to keep my house in line I was just thinking that I have a HUGE amount of Hallmark Barbie Ornaments. I have almost Everyone Every made. Before this move they where all MINT IN BOX with teh little price tag on them. Just wondering if anyone else here collects Hallmark or Barbis and if you would be interested in them before they hit e-bay or should I just list them and post the link here so you can fight it out? Hallmark only makes their ornaments once then every year they break their molds and start over. I have a HUGE amount so I don’t think I can post all them all here. It seemed like a fun thing to do at the time with only 1 a year but now they are like 8 or more a year and can get pricey to collect them all. I need to simplify my life and they have never even been displayed EVER
I have the same problem too DM! I used to collect Hallmark ornaments, and for like 4 or 5 years I have at least one of all of them made. I’m gonna wait a month more to unload them on ebay so it will be closer to Christmas time. I think they may get more buyers then…
Congrets!…..so unpacked yet? I got a ton of books too, and I just redid my library…that was a PAIN…well good luck! π

Depends on the type of crowd you’re trying to attract I guess… π

I got my little Rainbows this morning as well π
They landed safely, a bit tired but resting nicely with the others π
Im waiting for 2 curled ones, but they will take a little longer. Ill get pics of the growing family soon π
Glad your whites made it and are perfect πCongrats to everyone! π
Congrets Raven!!! Can’t wait for the pics!!! π
Thanks crow…I might leave it the way it is…if I need to sell it later..then I’ll try and touch it up…but I’m happy with its “factory mint” condition for now…
Ravnheart wrote:They have been added π
I need to add some photos of the whites. Hmm maybe Ill start a thread and ask for photos to use on the Database π
WoW! Aren’t you productive! Go get ’em! π
Dragon Master wrote:BRoS wrote:just remember the secret, think positive then the world will be yours

Serenity wrote:I never knew how big the Old Warrior’s were! Wow! And the black gold color looks great on everything! Nice collection!!!
Yeh, really if they were standing they would be as big as the emperors almost…OW’s are leaner and meaner though π
3 SK’s! AWESOME!…too many skeletons in your closet huh? π
Bring the Neptune Emperor, and tell them it’s one of Windstone’s entry level pieces π
Seriously though, bring one current production dragon, a gargoyle, and/or bookend, and a brochure. If they have a computer pull up the Windstone site, show them the production pieces, and wow them with the ebay gallery. Then laugh at their other fantasy/dragon pieces π
Ravnheart wrote:Can you PM me which ones and Ill add them π
Raven..sent you a PM about my new whites… π
Ravnheart wrote:mmloda, GB, or me π
