  • in reply to: Scammers Prowling Craigslist…Updated 6/27 #768853

I have been trying to sell a small laptop for a while on Craigslist, and it is such a magnet for the scammers that have such a huge network, and are getting into even the small-market Craigslist ads now. No matter how much i say on my ads, that I require LOCAL contact, CASH only, and a telephone call, for one to see the item IN PERSON, they must not read the ad, because they STILL send me an email, asking me for a Paypal address, so they can send a “payment” to me, with $150 to $200 for Express International shipping to the country of Nigeria! For those of you who are not aware of the scam, they actually will send an email that seems to come from Paypal’s domain name, some actually are using Paypal’s domain, they have Paypal’s letterhead, and they send you an email notifying you that you have received a payment, but it is “pending” until you send the package, and click on to something on the email, to input the tracking number, then the money will be placed in your account. Well, I was deleting the emails from the ones I knew to be scammers, because I don’t want to give them MY actual paypal email, but then I can’t prove they are scammers, or get them caught unless they actually attempt to send a fake payment, and the spoof team at Paypal seems to be the only ones trying to crack down on these guys, so I set up a dummy email on yahoo, and yesterday, when I was requested a Paypal address to pay my asking price plus an extra 150, I replied that I did not have a bank account, but my room-mate Frawda Lurt, would set up the Paypal account, and her Paypal address was her first and last name @ yahoo.com. That bozo still fell for it, and sure enough, I got a “notification of “intance” payment” from “Paypal, or should I say Frawda Lurt got it. I forwarded all the emails to Paypal.
    XD XD XD

that’s got to be one of the worst packing jobs I’ve ever seen. I’d think for what you paid, she should have double boxed them. 👿

in reply to: Do you collect anything besides Windstones? #766946

My other passions, although I have not done as much with them lately, are sports cards (I am just a wee bit obsessed with Joe Montana! 😉 ), and Broadway shows, with the memorabialia thereof. I have not been to NYC ever, but we do get “Best of Broadway” shows here every season, I loved “The Lion King” (It’s coming back this Fall), and “Phantom of the Opera” and “Les Miserables”. squeek* squeek*

in reply to: pay it forward #767839

There is a movie by that name which is based on a true story. Everybody should rent it if they haven’t already seen it. It was about a boy who believed you could make the world a better place by doing a good deed for 3 people, and tell them each to “pay it forward” by each doing a good deed for 3 more people each, and although this kid thought he had personally failed at his expiriment, it caught on all over the country in ways that he didn’t realize.

in reply to: wanted: Armadillo #762215

I did not see the Armadillos out, I was away from my computer for a few days, so please, if anyone got one, and has buyer’s remorse of any kind, please let me know, I would like to get one Please squeek* squeek* squeek*

in reply to: Depressed & Want to PUNCH Something #760223

Well, just as I was trying to sell things to get up the money for Jennifer’s Flame-Point, I got the news of the new shows coming to town this next fall–2 words–LION KING. OMG, I have already seen it twice, which wasn’t nearly often enough, so now I will be scrambling to get up money for tickets to it. I think they go on sale in May. 🙄 🙄

so what would be your total asking price if somebody was willing for you not to insure it, and send it as a small packet? I got mine for a little under 56.00 including shipping, so 99.00 still seems awfully steep, especially with another batch coming out soon. 😕

in reply to: Taking Bids…Must Sell By Sunday if I sell… #760196

Yes these are still for sale, especially the Pink lap dragon is for sale no matter what, and I am also looking at the Gold OW on Ebay that ends on Sunday also, with the reserve not met, so I am not sure what that will take, but I am still going to try for that. I hope Jennifer does more Male dragons in similar colors in the future, so some more of us can try to get us one. squeek* squeek* squeek*

The Poads are still pictured on Ebay with their complete description/ads by putting in their item numbers in the search bar on Ebay. 😀

in reply to: Taking Bids…Must Sell By Sunday if I sell… #760190

I am wanting to bid on Jennifer’s Orange Male or the Gold Old Warrior on Ebay currently, but I don’t have the funds, so I am taking bids for the following items. Please PM me only with serious offers, and only if you can put the funds in my Paypal account by Sunday afternoon. If I cannot win one of these items, then I will not want to sell any of these, with the exception of the Pink Lap Dragon, if I get a reasonable offer on it. I know this is confusing, and I hope not to get anyone’s hopes up, but I don’t want to part with the Poads unless I can be sure of the Ebay win. The Pink Lap is mint, and has been in a glass cabinet, in a smoke-free apartment for about 1 year, I can try to email a picture upon request. Here are the other 2 items:

Green/Gold Nettuce Poad won on Ebay 3/18 for $363.87 Item #300300795243

Lilac/Gold Nettuce Poad won on Ebay 3/26 for $204.52 Item #300302564646

Naturally, I just received the Poads, so they are mint, with the COA’s, tags, boxes, etc. and the Pink Lap also has tag and original box as well. Thanks for looking!!!! 😀 😀 😀

I just now saw this post–so I guess this is Happy Belated Birthday to you, Laurie!!!!!

in reply to: where'd it go??? #755905

well then, perhaps a solution would be for Windstone to charge a “listing fee” or a “final value fee” if somebody does sell a non-Windstone artpiece on that thread, the same as Ebay does. Especially since Windstone pays for this forum. That would be the fair thing–otherwise, why have a section for “General Art Discussion” for members to share their artwork, otherwise?

in reply to: PUT YOUR "WISH LIST" IN HERE #596749

in reply to: Curlie trades for new Amethyst Batch? #760078

I have my “curlie wish list” that I hope to fill, if I purchase enough Amethyst curlies in the next batch, that I would hope to round out, so if somebody would like me to buy them an Amethyst Curlie in exchange for trade with one of the items on my wish list, please pm me, so I could order an Amethyst to send you, and you won’t have to order it. My “wish list” is in this order: Lavender Pearl with lavender eye, Pink Pearl with lavender eye, and the Black Gold curlie. Naturally, you will not need to ship, until I have received mine, and can ship to you with confirmation number. squeek* squeek* squeek*
