I hope you’re feeling all right, WSC.
March 21, 2010 at 12:37 pm #805449Hope you feel better soon! 🙂
March 22, 2010 at 2:31 pm #805450WSC,
First, I hope you’re feeling better! Second, Patriot did very well in the auction! Everyone kept talking about how beautiful he is, and they loved the theme. I was able to win him in the end (it helps to be the one in charge of the auction!) and he’s already on display on my mantel. 😀 Thank you again for everything!
I love how the keeper is coming along too! The colors are great. He’s definitely the dragon form of Sauron. 👿
Bodine, I wish I had seen your post earlier! The last couple of weeks have been so crazy for me I haven’t been online much. We will be doing another auction for the troops next year, and we’re happy to take donations! The organization is called Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, and we send care packages to soldiers stationed overseas. We’ll be doing another “Freedom Ride” next year, complete with auction. If you’re interested in helping out, just send me a PM and I can send you more details.
March 31, 2010 at 6:32 am #805451Ok, except for a clear coat here is the Raider’s Griffin #1. With all the silver, I wanted a hint of white, and some black left alone.
Sorry it has taken me so long, I really didn’t want to take so long to finish. I guess the PYO’s for NirvanaCat’s hot potato are on the way too.
The eyes are loose in the Griffin as I haven’t done the clear coat yet, so please forgive the socket placement. (I just didn’t want anyone getting all “oogy” over the empty sockets. 😉 )***I am sorry to those who wished to view the pictures of the Raider’s Griffin. I have removed them as I feel they may pose an issue for Windstone itself. If you wish to view pictures you may email me at always_ dead_ 9 @ hotmail .com (Remove the spaces.) and I can send them to you.***
Final touches, and on to finishing the next one… 8)
March 31, 2010 at 6:39 am #805452Thanks for all the well wishes guys. 😳 I’ve been having horrible headaches bordering on migraines…even a few into the realm of migraines, so I have been slower than normal. Sometimes only a half hour at a time, and that accomplishes nearly nothing. 😡 But I am doing better, and am planning on getting full swing into the painting again. I have alot of work cut out for me, so patience is a virtue for those who are waiting. 🙂 I promise to do my best at each piece I have to work on.

LOL! Not exactly what I was expecting, but I am very glad he found a good home! 😀 Congratulations! I really enjoyed painting the 2 army camo wolves…Will have to try some other armed forces sometime along the line. 😉 I think the wings are the make or break point though. 😀
March 31, 2010 at 12:27 pm #805453All of the ones you have been doing are absolutely stunning and don’t you forget it.They are very loved in their new homes and itsn’t that the whole point of art?Making one happy? 8) 🙂 Well,I sure love mine and I have learned to have oodles of patience…mellowed with age XD

March 31, 2010 at 6:07 pm #805455Wow! That griffin is amazing! I still can’t get over how you can paint straight lines on a non-flat surface.
I agree with everyone else, your health is more important. Take your time and yourself first. Hope you feel better soon. *hugs*!March 31, 2010 at 7:11 pm #805456whoooaa… that griffin is really something! Way cool!
Chronic headaches are NO fun. Be sure and get some rest. *hugs* 🙂
March 31, 2010 at 7:51 pm #805457AnonymousOMGosh! Awesome for sure – That Raiders FAN has to be so impressed! The eyes are AMAZING and go so well with the whole piece! Yowza!
And I didn’t see your post describing yourself not feeling well but saw folks wishing you well – and I send my own wishes for wellness, too. Feel better – take some time to do something like oh, clean house – no wait, naps and bubble baths!
I personally think it’s this time of year, the most beautiful when spring wakes everything, and that everything likes to wreak havok on sinuses and allergies and I don’t feel too well in the springtime, anymore 🙁 I try to keep my windows shut, when I wish I could open them wide!
Again, your painting details amaze me!
March 31, 2010 at 10:34 pm #805458Take your time and get to feeling better woman …..
But I must say….. HOLY CRAP THAT IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! The Hubby is going to LOVE IT!!! WOW!!!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀
April 1, 2010 at 5:39 am #805459Thanks everyone! 😀 I thought for only a couple main colors that he turned out wonderfully…And man, let me tell you with his glossy clear coat…Wowzers! Oh, and I glued his eyes in permanently too. I really almost hate to give him up! But, I get that feeling every time, and it is getting easier, as usually they end up with someone who loves them greatly. So, while I tend to enjoy them for a short time, I am much happier knowing they are traveling to stay with someone else. 😉 Although, the longer the Dark Phoenix Griffin sits here, the more he looks right at home here…Although I know I can’t keep him for myself. One way or another he will have to find a home. I already have 4 of my own, and I can’t see owning any more of my own, I don’t like owning more of my own than of someone else’s works. So far I have 3 of them from Fauxbird…Mind, I haven’t seen her here for a while either…Where did she get off to? Anyone know? *worries*
I mean who wouldn’t love this guy?
(BTW, the Keeper I am working on…Well he could be D.P.’s twin brother when I get him done!)Poems, I don’t really suffer from allergies, so that isn’t the problem. I suffered migraines when I was a teen, and have always hoped they never would come back. These weren’t full blown, like turn off the lights and close the shades kind. But they were close, and always the left side of the head. (My mom used to say the reason it hurt was cuz I had so many artsy ideas around in there and nowhere to put them. Since supposedly artists use the left hemisphere more than the right. Sometimes I don’t use either hemisphere. 😉 )

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀
Oh good! Thank goodness! I was trying to wait for confirmation before I clear coated, but the weather was beautiful and the next couple days are going to be windy and an off chance for clouds and rain. 😛
I am glad he fits the bill! 😀 Gotta get an address for you though…I don’t want his B-day present to be late! And you are always more than welcome! Thank you for giving me the chance to paint a football one! So now, I’ve done Army wolves, and a football Griffin (The #1 in this guy’s name is because before he was even finished, another Raiders fan came forward inquiring about one! 😮 ), also I have a Hockey Griff on my list, it’s the Michigan team…Grrr…ROFLMAO!!! Oh yeah, the name of the team?…The Griffins! Gold and blue will be that one’s colors. (Sorry if some of this doesn’t make much sense, but I have a big old hoot owl outside my open window who is scrambling my brain right now with his Hoo-Hooing! LOL)
So, about the time they restock the PYO’s I’ll be able to fill my shelf with all the PYO’s I need to fill the list I already have. I can add names to the list, but unless you have a blank for me to paint, you are as much at the mercy of the restock as I am. Or, if you are on the list already, and can snag whatever sculpt you are down for if I miss them in the store, I can subtract the price or pay you for your cost for the PYO and shipping to you, plus shipping to me…Just an FYI for any of you waiting that I don’t have sculpts for.April 1, 2010 at 6:07 am #805460Nuuuuuuts! If drag0nfeathers is the queen of soft blending, then you, WSC, are the queen of nice, even lines. These are both jawdroppingly awesome.
