Ok, Here I thought, I have the Keeper almost done!!! All I have left to do is Copper accenting and then the knots on the wings…WRONG! I forgot some of the white…I can’t believe I did that!!! So, I finish doing the copper, and really, all I will have left is the knots that go on the wings when I paint 3 whole scales white! LOL
It’s getting closer and closer to completion, and I am so happy with it. I will tell you, that it looks good in pics, but the copper is so nice and bright in person, and it seems to have eaten up quite a lot of the black, which I am happy with too. I kept hoping that what I saw in my mind would look the same as it did once I got it on the dragon, and it’s so much more closer than most of my others have been. 😀 Now, I have to practice the knots that are going on the wings (I almost said arms…*snickers* 😆 Inside joke I guess…)by doodling them out on paper until I can get them straight without having to change them. 🙂
I promise to get some better outdoor pics whenever it stops being cloudy, or rainy… >.<I could use a little help for those people who enjoy finding things on the internet *puppy eyes*…I have searched and searched, and while I have ideas for the knots on this guy, I would like to see more ideas for the other elements…I need to find some for Earth, Air and Water…Does anyone know the Celtic symbols for those? I’ve spent hours on Google…Not much luck though. 😕 I can find every letter though that someone drew to “look” Celtic. 🙄

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.Beautiful work on the Celtic Fire Keeper! The copper really does pull his colors together nicely. I like the eyes you chose for him, too.
Regarding the matter of the knotwork: could you perhaps sketch an outline of a flame, then fill it in with knotwork and erase the original outline so that the knotwork forms the flame? Then transfer that design to the Keeper.

No, hun…I thought I was doing the tat knots on this guys wings…Am I confused? 😮 Or did you want to for-go those? (Is it that you like his wings that well as they are? 😉 They ARE my best to date. 🙂 ) I’m not doing a knot on his chest is what I meant by not doing the fire knot… 😕 I was looking for knots for the other 3 Keepers…For their wings…Unless like I said, you’d rather I just did the patterns on the scales and left the knots off all together….Oh…Crud, let me know…I’m all blonde right now! 😈 🙄 XD

Thank you all for the wonderful compliments! 😀 I love how the copper seemed to “eat up” the black as I was adding it to the Dragon. I painted from 8 am until 11pm both yesterday and the day before…Scott sat by me most of yesterday, and I almost got the Griffin done except the Emblem this morning. 🙂 And, I think I am finally able to like my work as much as everyone else does. (Though we always find faults in our works even if no one else does. 😉 )
Plus today we ripped out a 30ft flower bed and cut it up and moved it to get ready to reset it in another location so I can finally have my spice garden right up by the back of the house! I’m so excited! It’s been to wet to plant my garden though…We are looking at June or so now…Unless it dries again and doesn’t rain for a few days. **please!**

LOL. 😆 OK. I got confused. I still want the knots on the wings. I don’t want the one on the chest. I do love the wings. They are beautiful, but I still want the tats on them. Are you going to center them on the wing, or make them smaller and put them towards the top of the wing? You remember which one goes on each side right? Green center on the right, and black center on the left. He looks amazing, but don’t work yourself to hard. :bye:
I’m guessing one of the Keepers is a commission for Jacki?

Yep, got ’em saved with them labeled which sides from before. Yep, centered is what I am hoping for…Also I am hoping for the fading colors to show well through them. With the flame/sun shape of the tat itself, I figured it would go well with this element. Um…LOL I’ll PM you about the rest… XDYeah Drag0n, the Fire Keeper is for Jacki, along with the Earth Keeper. I am doing all 4 elements for her. 🙂 I hit a vapor lock on the fall unicorn, and I feel miserable about it…I hope to have time to sit and stare at it for a couple hours tomorrow afternoon and figure out why it is vexing me so. 🙁 Bodine wants all 4 seasons too. Plus I got Cat on the list for one or two, Poems for a “snow globe” style winter wolf, the cow wolf for my friend, and a Griffins Hockey Griffin. Plus I need to finish the Tut Griffin one day, as someone is interested in him too. Plus about 4 more people who are on a waiting list. Pretty much I am waiting for a restock. I need 1 Keeper, 1 Uni, and about 6 Griffins just to fill the list I have now. Not to mention the ones I want to do one on ones with!!! 🙄 I’ve missed the Keepers the last couple times, but got lucky once. 😈 And I REALLY am dying for a Phoenix…I’ve owed someone one of those for about what…2 years now? :shout: (When were pinks Laps released?)
