Checked my pulse, it felt irregular. Checked my blood pressure, 124/100, pulse 124. Yeah, my heart’s in a-fib again. This sucks! I don’t want to go thru this again. 🙁
How are you feeling?

Better now. I spent several hours in the ER the next day. They tried drugs first to get it back to normal. That got my heart rate back down but didn’t get it back in normal rhythm. Then they tried cardio version, 3 times, but it didn’t work. So they are trying a new drug that seems to have done the trick. Friday evening I realized I was feeling better, checked my pulse, and it was back to normal. Yeah! I just hope this isn’t going to be an on going thing.
The really frustrating thing thru all this is the poor communication between the hospital, doctors, and me about the other medication they put me on, concerning dosage. Turns out my concerns were valid, but I still don’t have a good answer, and wont until I see the cardiologist on the 18th. At least with my heart back to normal I’m not as worried about it, and I may be able to quit taking it then.
June 6, 2013 at 12:47 pm #898308My AC compressor is dead. My unit was installed in 1975. I need new duct work to put a new unit in, and it’s summer, and my hours were cut due to the Health Care Act. Stupid Employer. Too cheap tp take care of their employees, but they’ll waste money on their full time people who already have bennies. And I do mean waste, ” oh you don’t want to work your full 40 this week, don’t worry we’ll still let let you collect OT, even though we’re under a hiring freeze, and NOBODY is allowed OT.” grumble.
Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin

Sun Dragon Koi #3June 13, 2013 at 5:28 am #898555well I had been feeling a pain for the last few days for what to me looked like a tailbone injury….my husband had mentioned there was a small bump there but we thought nothing of it…
well my mother had a look at it today and said the bump was now the size of about a nickel….so we go to urgent care, find out I have an abscess so I get to go to urgent care every day for a week then eventually surgery to get it all fixed up later….

4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinJune 13, 2013 at 3:14 pm #898564My digital camera died! >_< I only had it for a year! It is the Nikon COOLPIX L26. I called customer service and told the rep what was happening; the screen is black but all the digital info is there, the shots you take are black...Apparently it is the shutter sensor. There was a recall on it, but by the time it happened to mine, the recall had expired! >_< I was referred to the nearest repair center; They told me that it would cost more than the camera is worth to try and fix...if it is even possible. They suggested that I just purchase another model instead! I should have payed for the extra warranty...But didn't. *scowls* ...Now I have to buy another Camera (It's not really in the budget) Especially, since good ones start at $200.00. I hope I do not have the same effect on cameras as I do with watches. Every watch I have ever owned/worn has either malfunctioned or died out completely, so I simply do not wear one anymore. I need a camera for my studio work, and business..and cannot afford to keep buying them over, and over again! 🙁
June 15, 2013 at 10:38 am #898660Well, my city’s on fire again. This happened about the same time last year. It’s not dangerously close to me- but my friend’s dad lost his house, and last I heard, the total of burned houses is in the upper 300s. Of course we’re all living with the looming sight and smell of smoke, too.
They evacuate before fires reach residential areas, but at least two people have lost their lives; they were found in their garage with their car all packed, like they were ready to leave.
This stuff is *all* that is on the news here now, 24/7.Ready for this crap to be over!

June 19, 2013 at 2:33 am #898744I have an unauthorized charge on my credit card and when I called customer service AND the dispute line I got a message saying my records are unavailable at this time. I went on my bank’s chat and someone was supposed to call me as soon as possible. It took 30 minutes before I got that call. Apparently credit card customer service closed at 9pm. FML!
June 19, 2013 at 10:56 pm #898772My IBS has been acting up REAL bad for the past week and a half now. I went to the health food store and got some chia seeds and aloe vera the other day and I’d say my pain’s a lot less since that but today it just feels like my stomach is full of acid, kind of like stomach flu. I’m looking forwards to this bout being over! I prefer the mild twinges that I usually get to this!
Also upped my magnesium intake because I found out that I’m deficient (magnesium deficiencies can increase abdominal pain so taking it should theoretically help make it go away) and I’ve started making a habit of walking every day, because being unemployed with nowhere to go has made me horribly sedentary which probably isn’t good for my health.
My dad just walked in groaning from his back too, like he’s the only person suffering in the world. Yeah no, sorry buster, you’re not the only one and there’s lots suffering worse than us.
AND I think my sixteen year old cat might be going a little bit blind. Just some stuff I’ve noticed, like how she’ll sit beside her bowl like she wants it to be filled yet when I look at it, there’s food in it. Also when she goes outside she’s leaving our porch a lot less and hardly exploring the yard at all even though she has a nice, big, safely fenced in yard. Yesterday we were weeding and she didn’t come and hang out with us, which was odd for her. I know blindness probably isn’t that big of a deal for such an old cat but I feel a little sad for her that she might be losing her vision. She’s still fat ‘n happy though. (Not actually fat, she’s proper weight – figure of speech.)

Excellent!
June 21, 2013 at 8:44 pm #898815AAUGH my digital camera broke! Again! They last about a year for me. This one had a rough life though, so I am not complaining about the quality of the camera, which was excellent.
-and today my wacom stylus broke for good! NOOO!! Scream! It did work even though it was duct-taped together, but now doesn’t work at all.
The most essential things we depend on are now fragile electronic gizmos.
Whine XPJune 22, 2013 at 1:33 am #898826Um… The fact that you had to duct-tape it in the first place should have been the sign that it had given up on life, no?

I got food poisoning. I feel like complete crap and I *had* the whole long weekend off and big plans and now I can’t do any of the things I was really looking forward to :Sp :tired: :SpJune 30, 2013 at 12:24 pm #899206What a bummer! 🙁 I hope it passes quickly!
July 5, 2013 at 7:56 pm #899465….so I went to get blood tests I have to get done one to two weeks before my surgery today….so I’m getting my blood drawn and I get all dizzy and can’t breathe right….apparently it can happen to anyone, something with a v in it, blood doesn’t get to the brain right….
..anyhoo, I had to lie down on the ground with a wet towel on my head but I’m fine near as I can tell now….and I get the fun of having to lie down whenever I get my blood drawn from now on just in case….
4 things I'm looking for:
1. Mother Meerkat

4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinJuly 6, 2013 at 7:05 am #899493I get that too. I mostly get nauseous and feel like I’ll pass out if I don’t lay down. So I usually bring juice with me and get my blood drawn lying down. It’s called Vasovagal response. Pretty much your veins dilate and your blood pressure and heart rate drops. It often causes fainting. Fortunately I’ve yet to actually faint from it.
