I’m so sorry, Bodine. Everyone has to go, but it still hurts so much even when they had a good life.

My keyboard is broken. I keep pressing "Escape", but I'm still here.

I am sorry for your family’s loss Bodine.  I believe those who pass go on to better things, and that we will meet them again, but there is always sadness in those that will miss them.  It is wonderful that he was able to accomplish so much in his life.

Uhg, went to the doctor yesterday for my ear issues. I’ve had extra fluid in my ears for the past year and found out I’ll need to see a specialist and likely have tubes put into my eaedrums so they can drain. However, I can’t afford a specialist and I’m not insured due to the high cost. So, I don’t know what to do. Has anyone else dealt with this particular health issue before? They say my ear’s “plumbing” is out of sorts. There’s always the risk of slowly going deaf from the excess fluid causing damage.

well I’m finally got approved to be a donor for hubby last week….the team was like oh we’ll probably call to schedule you two for surgery next week which we were fine with since we don’t want to wait for all the bad signs of kidney failure to come….fast forward to yesterday, the nephrologist tells us, oh his creatinine is too low for now, wait until he gets to 4.0-5.0 then we can get this going again…..

so basically we need to wait until he’s close to kidney failure before we can do anything….sure, it’s great we have more time but being told to wait until he gets sick first is troubling and or frustrating….

That’s awful and so sad to hear! We have a friend who is also been back and forth so much – she’s been on Dialysis for over a year and also now has heart issues that are complicating things.

Our Thoughts and Prayers to you both. Good Luck

Bodine: makes no sense to me, we’re all ready to go, tests are all done and they were saying once we get it done that surgery would be scheduled soon….we also kept telling them we wanted to do this before the bad things started to happen and they were like sure sure, we’ll get on it as soon as your tests are done….only to have the nephrologist say no, wait until he gets sick is a big kick in the pants….

Ela_Hara: sorry to hear your friend is having trouble too and thanks for your thoughts, prayers and luck…..

I came on here to vent and everyone has so much worse than what my issue is. I’m so sorry for all the health issues everyone has.  My issue is partly caused by my illness, but I can fight through it I think, like I always do.  I’m just having doubts and I’m scared about new things.

I am so so sorry for all the heartache everyone has.  Prayers for all of you 💞

I am just catching up on here.  Sorry for your loss Bodine!

Dragoneer_88, I don’t know much about about fluid in the ears but I have heard of people having it drained before.  I googled how to drain fluid in the ears and it pulled up a lot of articles with information and things you could do to help it.  Here was one link: https://www.activebeat.com/your-health/10-easy-ways-to-remove-fluid-in-the-ear/  I would say read any articles you find googling it as some may help without having to get tubes put in.

Fatalbeauty, also sorry to hear about that and hope he can get approved for surgery soon!

Tig3r06, what are you having doubts and fears about?  Is it about moving soon or something else?

Hopefully everything gets better for everyone soon!  Try to be optimistic that things will change and there will be calm again after the storm.

Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

I put it off and said “no, no” for weeks, but then I finally decided to get a white male dragon off eBay. I thought this weekend that if I was thinking about it so much, I should just get one. It arrived today… broken. Really broken. It was packed so badly, just one layer of bubble wrap, loosely floating around in the box. I feel stupid for buying it, and not off of here.

                            Looking for...

That really sucks, LisaZ!  Can you fix it it? Or get money back? I’ll send you a PM….

Yeah, you should be able to get your money back, even if you have to get eBay to arbitrate it.  You could also contact the seller and send them pictures of the damage and see if they will let you keep it for cheap if you want to try to fix it.  There are also some really good Windstone repairers on the forum.  Drag0nfeathers fixed one of mine that fell off a mantle onto a slate hearth….many, many pieces.

Lisa Z, sorry to hear that.  Don’t feel stupid as that has happened to a lot of people over the years.  If only I had known I would have warned you beforehand, always ask a seller on ebay before buying a piece if they know how how to double box a Windstone to make sure it won’t get damaged or broken in shipping.  A lot of sellers aren’t aware how fragile these are and how to double box them.  If they are unfamiliar with double boxing I tell them how to double box and to make sure the inner box is packed tight with packing peanuts so it can’t move around in the outer box.  I tell them if there’s any space inside the box that allows the inner piece or box to move, it’s that motion that can cause breakage.  If anyone says they have paper to pack it with I tell them to please only use packing peanuts as they are like little shock absorbers and cushion rough handling and drops.

Luckily you do have protection through ebay and paypal and can file a claim and show pictures it arrived broken and ask for a refund.  If they ask you to ship it back you can always ask if you can keep it and pay to have it fixed instead of it going to waste.  Some people have gotten full refunds or at least partial refunds and have been able to keep the piece.  Or if the only way you can get a full refund is to return it, you can just ship it back and try and find another one.  It depends how extensive the damage is and how much it would cost to fix and if you want it fixed.  If it’s in bad shape it might be better to get your money back and look for another one.  I have bought many Windstones off ebay and the ones I made sure knew how to double box always arrived safe and sound so don’t be discouraged if you want to buy off there in the future, just make sure they know how to pack a Windstone properly.
