Kim: well there’s something new often on Ebay and Melody is always giving us something new so there’s always something someone will fall in love with….
….and I know there isn’t going to be something new out of people each week, I’m trying to keep the thread active and or up on the list so if someone is thinking of selling something, they will hopefully look through here first before listing so grails can be found….

But it seems most of the time people post things for sale in the classifieds or ebay and sell either to the first person or highest bid regardless of who’s grail it was. I have contacted people before if I got their favourite piece in a grab bag and the same people didn’t care to contact me when they got my favourite pieces so then I basically gave up on them. I know others on here are great about helping other people out but I’ve just been annoyed at how many times I have been screwed out of getting my favourite pieces because of others being greedy on here sorry to say.

YES! Same here Mimi! I like to keep my eyes open for others since I’ve been fortunate to get a couple Grails from kind members as well. ^_^

Kim, I did look through here. I am awed and amazed and a little overwhelmed. I own several pieces in these lists. The issue I would have is who to choose? Several of my pieces are on numerous lists. I do have a short list of people who asked me to keep them in mind if I ever decide to sell, and I will honor those requests…..but many people I have known here for years. I didn’t realize how many of them and newer collectors wanted some those pieces. I rarely sell, I have a bit of a dragon hoarding issue, how would you suggest someone handle many grail wishes and only one piece?

Sun Dragon Koi #3Yeah it can be tough if someone has a grail a few people want. I would maybe say take offers from everyone who listed something as a grail and then pick the offer you like. At least then people who specifically listed something as a grail would have a chance to make an offer. It’s just hard when a person or people post how bad they want a piece and then it gets traded or sold right away to someone who never posted and the person or people who did post they wanted it never even got a chance to make an offer.

I agree with you there. It’s hard. I’ve lost many pieces over the years that I REALLY wanted. Some of them have managed to find their way home to me regardless. I’ve kinda adopted a if it’s meant to be mine It’ll find it’s way to me attitude. My Astral Griffins are Case in point as well as the Blue Fawn Kirin. It’s been maybe 10 years before the Kirins found their way to me. And I may never find the baby, but I keep hoping.

Sun Dragon Koi #3Just to be fair, people can express they want their grails and if they can eventually get them that’s awesome. I personally try to help people where I can, I united a few people with grails selling ddvm’s collection in fact, and I was very happy to fulfill those folks long time wishes. I went through a LOT of threads and combed the list i was given hundreds of times so I could try and make some people happy.
Case in point Kim, nobody owes you your grail and you’re not entitled to it just because you want it. Lots of people are going to want particular pieces as setsuna pointed out. Also if someone can get themselves a grail by trading or selling a piece you may want that’s their prerogative. They don’t owe you the sacrifice of what they may gain in return. Maybe they were offered one of their grails for the piece you want? It is what it is.
I recently shared that I was happy I found a grail, the Barn Swallow Male Griffin. etruscan posted pics of her Barn Swallow Griffins. Would it be nice if she ever decides to part with them she contacts me for dibs? Sure. Is it her obligation? Certainly not. Am I going to haunt and harass her for them until she gives them up? Only if I was a jerk, which I’m not.
This thread helps and gives hope, not guarantees.
