Grab Bag Kitsune?????
Unlikely. It’s been discussed in various threads.
From my understanding, there are copyrights for the colour schemes and sculptures. Putting any PYO into production, especially as a grab bag, would cause numerous difficulties for Windstone, not the least of which are unscrupulous people who could try to pass off their own painted sculpt as a grab bag. If you doubt that might occur, take a stroll through the “Report Fakes and Knockoffs” thread.
Melody or John, please advise if I’m right here – the best option would be to paint or commission a PYO in any scheme as long as it isn’t a copy of a Windstone production, test paint, or artist’s edition.
Life is beautiful.
March 23, 2015 at 1:41 am #927008Unfortunately, that makes a great deal of sense. I’ll go back to my squeaks for GB cougars and/or ki-rins – preferably “and”. 🙂

Yanno, I almost said this exact thing and then AWD Kitsunes showed up on Ebay and completely confused me on how the legal side allows those vs production. Though I still highly doubt we’ll see anything other than ebay/etsy… though I think in doing ebay/etsy ones does make it very confusing.. but that’s my .02… I think the AWD Kitsunes are absolutely gorgeous either way 🙂
Also, I have a massive squeak for production jaguars/black jaguars (Do a flat black with the metallic black used on the moonlit sea jewel for the rosetts *fawns*) with the cougar sculpt. I about died when I saw the magic paint cougar and wish dearly that you guys could find more magic paint to make it a production run on all pebbles again… I really want a wolf, red fox and cougar in it! — I’m burned out on GB’s, I really just wanna know what I’m getting and not need to invest in shipping and time and effort in hoping I can get a trade for what I want.. I can’t even imagine how many production pieces I could have bought simply with the cash I’ve spent on shipping GB trades in the past year alone…

I agree! I think if I had to choose between wild cats I would want most, I would want a regular coloured leopard/jaguar and a black leopard/jaguar in production colours if possible. Another idea I would love is if melody painted some metallic silver or gold leopards/jaguars. I used to have a silver jaguar sculpture that I loved but was lost in a move and think this would look awesome painted like that too!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

I recall Melody saying that the kitsunes were originally intended for esty to get interest in WE, but went to ebay instead.
I’m totally in awe of all the goodies on eBay lately, Holey Smokes, there’s some wonderful things there. 🙂
I’d like to see those Cougars in cougar colours. Kinda like the recent BE foxes – each one slightly different, but not a grab bag.
Like you, I’d love to see each of the pebbles released in the black sparkle paint. I’d also like to see them in plain black, plain white, and sparkle white. I realize that I may be dreaming on the sparkle paints.
I’ll admit, though, that I’m not burned out on grab bags and am looking forward to whatever is released next.
Life is beautiful.

"COSMIC SHIFT DRAGONS and KI-RINS" and the "OCTOPUS TANUKI TEST PAINT #1"March 24, 2015 at 2:35 pm #927043Hi Melody, may I please make a squeak? My squeak is for the release of some more limited production Poads; particularly the adults (but young and babies would be welcome as well). I’d love to see a re-release of the production adult poads you had several years back:
Metalic Blue
Sugar Plum
Butternut
Grey Bengal
Silver and White
Tan Bengal
Silver Bengal
Burnt Sugar
etc.And would also be thrilled for some new production colors. Your poads are my absolute favorite of your sculpts, but as a newer collector, there aren’t many options for me to acquire new ones currently. I’m on poad-withdrawal! lol
Thanks so much for taking the time to consider my squeak! 🙂

March 29, 2015 at 11:55 pm #927276I went through the COA sketches thread about a week ago and thought they were adorable. Today, I was going through the 2014 Ebay thread and saw the “Sushi Cats” print. Sooooooo, my newest squeak is for some Melody Pena sketches or prints on Ebay.

Windstone Editions no longer is selling the prints, however prints that were sold years ago do show up from time to time on ebay. You just need to watch for them, and try to find them at a decent price.
