There are already too many that I like! But I would still love to see:
1. A winged serpent with feathered wings, something like Quetzalcoatl. I can hardly imagine all the pretty colors that could be painted in.
2. Foo dogs.
3. A coyote.
I know what a Foo dog looks like, but I don’t know anything about the story behind them. Are they supposed to be like dragons, or are they lions? They sometimes look like kirins or Singhas. Are they demons or guardians?
December 11, 2011 at 11:08 pm #865244Here are my squeeks……………I would love to see the little rock dragon in the store made out of the gypsum with a felt pad and tag in the glacier color.& the moon dragons in the store in the glacier color as well with the opalite sphere & i would most deffinately gladly pay an additional 10 bucks on the dragon just to have the oplaite sphere. Pam said they cost like 5 dollars and something a piece and i would be more than willing to pay for it.

Chinese guardian lions, known as Shishi lions (Chinese: 石獅; pinyin: shíshī; literally “stone lion”) or Imperial guardian lion, and often incorrectly called “Foo Dogs” in the West, are a common representation of the lion in pre-modern China. They have traditionally stood in front of Chinese Imperial palaces, Imperial tombs, government offices, temples, and the homes of government officials and the wealthy, from the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), and were believed to have powerful mythic protective benefits. Pairs of guardian lions are still common decorative and symbolic elements at the entrances to restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and other structures, with one sitting on each side of the entrance, in China and in other places around the world where the Chinese people have immigrated and settled, especially in local Chinatowns.
The lions are always created in pairs, with the male resting his paw upon the world and the female restraining a playful cub that is on its back. They occur in many types of Chinese pottery and in Western imitations.

I totally concur with this. The combination of the killer, special red eyes and the clear-ish opalite sphere will totally kick ass >)

December 27, 2011 at 9:21 pm #867401Being new here im not sure if this has been said yet, but here is my Squeak!
I think it would be neat if you offered a limited number of PYO Dragon sculptures (Emperors, Males, Mothers, Old Warriors, Lap Dragons, etc) per year for artists & collectors. Maybe by method of a raffle drawing, where you would enter to win the chance to purchase the dragon for whatever price the unpainted would be.
I love the production colors, and would definitely still purchase them as well (as I’m sure others would as well), but I know there are some people that like having those OOAK pieces, and as an artist I see them in about ten thousand different colors that I would love to paint!
Thank you for considering,
-Amanda Brock-

Another round of the copper lap dragon? Pretty please?
As I posted in the wanted thread:
I REALLY want a Copper Patina Lap Dragon. I’m working on a book right now, and as usual, characters are not cooperating. One turned into a copper colored dragon without my permission. LOL My husband asked, “Well, do you know what she looks like?”–that was easy, check Windstone and here she is! Now, of course, I want her on my desk for inspiration.
Any coppers would be welcome, but the Lap Dragon would have me absolutely overjoyed.
(I still have my original bat winged Siamese from something like ’89 or ’90 or so, in perfect condition. I PROMISE a copper lap dragon would receive the same tender loving care!) 🙂
