Sorry that it never showed up…. and how sad the post office can get away with that….

On the other hand, thats terrific news that your getting another shipped to you! And I agree, Windstone customer service is the GREATEST !! Im curious to see what you have planned in your paint design for him 😉

I’m keeping it a surprise. I think people will like it, though!

      Here’s the blue jay griff.

And that’s all the griffins I’m doing for a while, unless I get commissioned for one! Because I’ve finally used up the ones I bought back when they were the only PYO out there. For the first time in a great many years, I don’t have a bunch of dusty boxes full of griffins in my closet, yay!

P.S. The blue jay is probably going to be for sale. I’ve got somebody who said they *might* be interested in it when it was done, and I’m waiting for them to reply to me, but it’s pretty likely that won’t come through. I’ll probably put up a classified listing for it tomorrow.

That’s nice that Windstone offered to replace yours. When my box went was marked as delivered but never turned up, they told me they weren’t responsible for a lost box. I don’t know if that’s because it was a more expensive grab bag box or because I had it shipped with first class international mail but thank goodness it did turn up like a week later. I would have been pretty sad if I had lost a box worth like $200 and Windstone wouldn’t replace it.

Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

I suspect it’s because postal insurance doesn’t come with first class mail. So the insurance claim can pay for what was in my box given the priority shipping I’d picked, but wouldn’t give Windstone anything for replacing yours, which puts Windstone in a much harder spot. And also, a grab bag dragon is a one of a kind, they didn’t have any just sitting on the shelf, ready to go to replace it with.

It FINALLY CAME TODAY! I finished my work and then stayed up until waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too late painting it. OMG it came out so pretty!

Yeah, my “brilliant” idea was to paint it like the peacock I did. 😀 The tails just seemed perfect! Honestly I want to do another one, just to fiddle with the colors and exactly how I do it. This one came out so pretty, but there’s already things I want to change.

Anyhow, I will update the first post, and put this guy up for sale later, right now I have to collapse into bed. Night!

Awwww… your little Peacock Kitsune is Pretty!
The nine tails and his position also make me think of Turkeys when they fan their tail feathers as well.
                Nice Job! 🙂

If I had infinite time/kitsunes, I would paint one in turkey colors, that would be pretty too.

I’ve been so stupidly busy I haven’t had time to finish either of the PYOs I have in progress right now, but I did think I should mention that I’m putting up the ones I’ve got for sale on ebay.

And hopefully I’ll get a little more free time someday to finish them, they’re both going to be awesome. One’s a kittygriff in a spring theme, and the other is an 80s themed kirin, lots of bright, loud colors. 😀

Cant wait to see these ones your working on. An 80’s theme and spring theme, both sound like great ideas.

You have some beautiful PYO’s. Great work!

                        Looking for:
"COSMIC SHIFT DRAGONS and KI-RINS" and the "OCTOPUS TANUKI TEST PAINT #1"

I’ve been on a painting kick again! After finishing my swap PYO, I dug out a mostly-finished kirin and got that done too.

                          (click for bigger pics.)

I REALLY love working in glow in the dark. It is ridiculous and weird and not at all like normal paint, but man it’s fun! Also glitter is fantastic. (And this glitter will not flake off, I took great pains with that.)

I’ll be putting this one up for sale, probably, as I could use the funds. But it’ll be one of those ones where I don’t much mind if it doesn’t sell. 😀
