It may end up being for sale once finished, if someone is interested in it and the final product meets my standards.
Maybe sheet cotton batting for the top? It reminds me of a gift box I bought that looks like a cupcake- it was a huge hit under the tree!
I was actually looking into getting some kind of imitation whipped icing to make the top something like this: https://www.leeleescreations.shoppingcartsplus.com/i/strawberryglazed.jpg
So far paper clay is in the lead but I want to do a bit more research into the material to make sure it’s what I want to use. Based on its price point it is likely going to be the item of choice.
A bit of a basic thing I painted to try out some new materials I got.
Looks pretty unassuming, but under a UV light…
The white glows a bright blue and the glitter glows various colors. The orange happens to show up the best in photos.
Unfortunately this has a number of issues that aren’t visible in the photos so I’m not going to finish it beyond what’s already done. However it did give me good information about what (not) to do with any further ones so it’s not a total loss.

That cotton batting cupcake box looks really cute! How is the fabric held together to maintain its body?
It’s a bought thing so I’m not sure, but it just feels like it’s glued. Like they wound it around, gluing as they went.
I bet yours will come out better, can’t wait to see!
Found some new paints that might be of interest to people here.
They’re called Enchanted and Enchanted Shimmer. Enchanted Shimmer is iridescent with a very fine glitter and Enchanted is an iridescent paint that seems like a less expensive substitute for Golden’s interference paint.
They’re made by Decoart and were at Michaels.
A friend saw the kitty griffin I painted and liked the colors so I’m painting her a very tiny bunny figure with the same colors.
