It didn’t work, Clay. I can’t seem to uncheck that box. When the pages refreshes, the box is checked again. Must be haunted 😉
It’s actually behaving as it should. The checkbox is checked by default. It’s a supplemental field (like the “tags” field) to the comment/reply text box where you type your comments (which I’m typing in right now). The status of the checkbox only gets processed when you click the “submit” button below.
So if you post a comment/reply, uncheck the checkbox, and click the “submit” button, you will be unsubscribed. If you click the “unsubscribe” link in my screenshot posted earlier, you will be unsubscribed. But if you uncheck the checkbox without submitting a comment, nothing will happen.
When I click on “in stock only” in the filters in the product categories it shows lots of items that are out of stock. Specifically I did this on the Grab Bag page.

Has anyone else made a post seemingly successfully, only for it to disappear?
I just posted to the Conga Show Off thread, and it appeared to work – after submitting, I was able to view the post and realized that I had forgotten a link that should have been in it, so I clicked “edit” and put in the link. When I hit submit from the edit page, however, it took me to a blank page of the thread (page 28). Looking at the Thread from the general forum page, it shows 28 pages of responses. The back button wouldn’t take me back to either the editing or the posting page, though, and when I went to the forum again from the header link it showed only 27 pages in that thread!
(I’m extra-annoyed because I had copied my post before posting, just in case something went wrong. But of course, once it posted I had to copy the URL that I’d forgotten to enter, so I lost all of the post text that I had copied! I thought it was safe because the post had gone through, but now I can’t repost what was eaten.)
This happened to me in another thread, too – a few days ago I posted in the Tell Me About Windstones thread, and I swear that my post did go through; but a minute later it was gone without a trace.
EDIT: this may be something on my end? When I went back to the main page, I noticed that the time has been updated – instead of the last reply being me “1 minute ago” in the Conga thread, it now says it was me “10 minutes ago.” However, when I try to view the last page of the thread, this is what I get:
A blank comment page, just like before. Note that I’m just viewing /page/28, I’m not viewing any kind of /reply page!

Yes it seems to be fairly common to have a post dissappear if you edit it. For me it happens about 90% of the time to a post that I edit.
Looking for:

When I go to Melody’s Blog, the toolbar says “Raffle Prize for November2017”. However, that post is not showing in the Blog itself.

Aha! Well, in good news, at least I’m not crazy! 😀 Thanks for figuring out where it went, and restoring it! I am SO GLAD I don’t have to retype all that. XD Hope you can figure out what’s up with the underlying issue!

I’m having some trouble with viewing the items in the classifieds.
I can see the all the listings, but when I sort on something specific, “wanted, grab bags” I get a message of “no results”.
I can find listings by user and also by typing the item. eg Scathach; KiRin.
It’s when I am searching from the main page of the classifieds that I seem to have this problem.
It’s a little frustrating to scroll through all the listings just to check for what I’m after. Could just be me.

Speaking of searching, I have OFTEN wished I could search my messages by sender. It would be so much easier to find the old message(s) I’m looking for.

anyone getting slower messaging to their email? it’s taking a lot longer to get the emails about classifieds ads submitted and I don’t seem to be getting emails about pms, I had my husband send me a pm, I got the pm but still no email that I had a pm….
edit: I poked my settings then I received the pm email after that but was a setting changed that we don’t automatically get an email if we don’t pick yes again?

I’ll take a look at our email log and see if there are any clues as to what might be going on. If anyone else is having this issue, please chime in so that I’ll know whether it’s just fatalbeauty, or if it’s more widespread than that.
