When I was inspecting the the figure earlier it reminded me of the videos of pets that got slices of cheese slapped on their faces.

Edit: since I can’t edit the post with Sweet-sune’s photos in it, I’ll mention it here that if anyone is interested in buying her, I can sell her for $100+ shipping. Otherwise I’m keeping her for myself.

Working on a new piece!

My original intention was to paint the hipp with a pearly paint, but after painting some of the ground I might end up going in a different direction. I’ve bought some interesting bits and bobs that I should be able to incorporate into the piece once it’s a bit more along.

Now I don’t know what to paint the hipp… pearly, koi or tropical rainbow vomit?

Not an artist at all, but I would say either pearly with brightly colored fins or koi. You already have a lot of color and contrast in the base and a “tropical rainbow vomit” body might not be a good match.

It looks pretty bland in comparison to my older stuff, huh?

Well, I didn’t name it Sea-cret for nothing!

I’ll be using the UV color-changing powders in future pieces for sure. It mixes in really well with the pearl paint I used as the medium.

Very neat color-changing hippocampus. Seems like a useful trick for hanging out on coral reefs! 🙂

Thank you both!:) I’m really glad the hypp works with its base; at first I was a bit worried too much was going on with the base and they would end up clashing.

The color-changing part came out really nice on it. I’ve got a few ideas for other pieces so the color-changing additive will see quite a bit of use soon.
