That’s at Gulf State Park. The pier was just renovated and opened to the public at the beginning of the month. They had 20′ waves.

Wasn’t enough to build a snowman and it basically melted as it hit the ground, but it was nice to see it coming down! So pretty!
January 11, 2021 at 6:08 pm #1634486Lol this stuff is FUN, Mom!
Nothing that cold here, what little precip we’ll get from that system will be a small bit of rain maybe tonight/tomorrow morning. Been an unusually cold winter for us so far this year though.
That truck pic is freaky! Begone aliens go buy your own truck!
January 12, 2021 at 5:44 am #1634506Hahaha…When I first let them out it was sleeting. You could hear it crackling, hitting the tin roof and ground.Bob and Bella leaped off the porch oblivious.Liberty heard it and stopped in her tracks on the porch.Ummm Mom,what is that? The snow didn’t phase her but ice was another story.Showed a big difference in the dog breeds for sure.Bulldog, who cares….German Shepherd,um,wait a minute😁

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.February 8, 2021 at 5:41 pm #1636100I took this photo last Sunday evening, January 31st after our area got about 4-5 inches of snow with freezing rain on top through the afternoon and lasted until Tuesday morning. On Sunday evening and Monday morning all the trees, bushes and cars were encased with ice until the temps warmed and the rain washed all the snow/ice away. It’s really beautiful but can be deadly driving or if you are under a big tree limb that breaks under the weight.
Close up of the limb in front – this limb is usually up in the air about 12 feet but the weight of the ice bent it down so I could touch the lower branches at shoulder height.
The Weather Channel is calling for more snow later this week….

No joke, those ice storms are brutal. We had a bad ice storm in my area (northeastern Indiana) in ’05 that took out the whole town’s power for over a week. The tree limbs just snapping off under the immense weight of the ice sounded like gunshots.
