Here’s Clip (aka Baby Gun), based on the same color scheme as Gun, but smaller XD
I also got a couple of pairs of eyes in the other day – they are glass eyes that were custom made for me, and I’m really excited about the prospect of what this company can do! They look a LOT like Windstone metallic eyes. I’m probably going to request them for more metallic eyes in various colors in the future
I asked for metallic teal (because I can never get enough of the metallic teal eyes!) and metallic emerald. The emerald turned out a bit more grassy green than I was expecting but I love them nonetheless! They have a lovely gold sheen to them. The teal eyes are a bit more blue than Windstone’s teal eyes – I imagine them about halfway between metallic teal and metallic medium blue. They’re very pretty, with little flecks of silver in them!
Anyway, if any PYO artists out there want to get together with me to make a larger custom eye order, I’d be happy to get together with you and we can brainstorm some more cool colors for them to try
It takes them about 2 weeks to get them finished and sent out so keep that in mind, but PM me if anyone is interested in this!Velociraptor Keeper’s owner still hasn’t chosen eyes for him, so he got to be the model! He’s so proud of himself.
I was curious what comapany it was you were ordering eyes from? i was looking for glass but have a hard time finding what is not resin/

That was indeed one of mine! Nova’s eyes are actually just cabochons of the correct size of dichroic glass, but the other ones you linked are from a company called Tohickon Glass – here’s a link http://www.tohickonglasseyes.com/
If you order from them, you’ll want to get the flat back bird eyes ONLY, as the aspheric eyes (though beautiful) have profiles that are much too high to fit in most Windstones. I believe sometimes they work, but not in any of the PYOs that I know of.

I have a few PYOs that I’ve done that I’ll need to track down and post pictures of, but for now, here’s what’s on my desk that I’m working on. She’s based on a cat that my family used to take care of years ago, named Puff I have limited pictures of her but I think she’s going to turn out well. The wings need to be cleaned up and her fur will be antiqued, but I’m liking the way she is looking so far

hehe.. I’m looking forward to seeing that flapcat when you’re done! It’s so cute right now! and I really wanna see you get your hands on the kittygriff! One of your stars themes would look so awesome on that one (or the stars/roses)… and apparently I can come up with ideas on how *you* should paint a kittygriff, but can’t think of a single way *I* should paint one, lol!That dragon is also gorgeous! I still just stare in awe at your pieces
Over the weekend I was sick and to distract myself, I painted a Halloween inspired Keeper I am calling “Moonrise Tiger”. His colors remind me of Halloween, and he has a little crescent moon and bats painted on his wings. I used half metallic, half regular paints which give him a pretty sparkle, and I also used interference in violet and green. He has a light coating of Clear Effex (“magic invisible paint”) which gives him a subtle sparkle in brighter lighting

I love the colors combinations on this guy. He’s really nicely detailed and his colors really pop. And love him for another reason too. I’ve been contemplating doing stripes similar to his on a Foo Mom for a long time and being able to see how they can potentially look is awesome to me. Very cool.
I always enjoy looking at your PYOs, all of them are quite lovely in both pattern/design and how cleanly done they look.

Heyyy.. that’s a good idea! I was trying to figure out exactly how I was going to paint that guy – my initial thought was to be in a coloration similar to the “Beast” that I repainted, but.. man.. I may need to go with that!

She has a matte topcoat on her fur, and her wings and nose are glossed. She has metallic tan eyes and detailing on her wings in Interference gold.
