• Arrowheads that my cousin finds on his hikes in the country
• Original art of all kinds, including paintings, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, etc.
• Weather instruments of all kinds, I’m a storm chaser and can’t have enough “toys”. (Yes I am a dork.)
Looking back on this–I was being silly but truthful–I do collect dust and it lies on many things–I’m part Cherokee myself and have a mask with feathers and I think it’s signed by the artist and it’s called ‘The Trail of Tears’ and has a string of feathers coming out of one of the eyes. I had to put some things away and now that I won’t be working for a while, I’ll be doing some major, major house cleaning! I also have a couple of sand painting jewelry boxes as well as some Native American type jewelry, pottery–when I get them together, I’ll take pics and post them.
I also have a plush toy of a Phoenix, corvid and a blue dragon and now awaiting SP’s Phoenix Bear! I like rocks and have a big labrodrite which is about 3 inches long and 2 inches high–good weapon material
And I like things with birds on them–tee shirts, sculptures, windchimes, toys and I do like Breyer horses but don’t have too many of those. This weekend at my church Antique Show, they also have a tent that they sell various items and I saw this bottle with a horned owl on it [like owls as well] and it was by J Lockhart which the bottle said is a well known wildlife artist. This bottle was heavy and I thought it might be solid glass or something until I get it home and inspect it more closely—it is actually a bottle of Beam Kentucky Whiskey–80 proof! Didn’t realize that, just like the picture of the owl. So I now have an added bonus!
So needless to say, I won’t be feeling too much pain in the coming week!Anybody know of some good drink receipes with whiskey?
February 7, 2010 at 8:41 pm #766966I like the Armani figurines… I have A few; Artemis, The owl, Endless ride, Aloha, though mine is a different color, The embrace, and the Macaw. I have some of his artwork, too… daydream and the embrace, along with a couple posters. When I get back from the desert, I am gonna buy Daydream and Ikebani Girl.
And before anyone may ask, no, that is not what I paid for them!! I get them on Ebay for a deal… about the price of a special Windstone.

Of course. I went and looked through the whole line of sculpture. Their animal statues are really, really nice.

Yes, Smaug from the Hobbit; I cannot wait for them to make THAT movie. I have heard it’s in the works and should it be anything like the LOTR movies, it will be awesome. The whole new generation that got into the Lord of the Rings has no idea how it began – and they should know!!!
I keep looking around at my NON-collection collected things. It’s crazy really, what a person might accumulate in their lifetime. In another 30 years I may have to own a storage unit to house things I don’t collect. Right? Sheesh lol
I don’t collect, but have a lot of: rocks – fossils – glass stretch vases – witchballs – glass rose bowls – owls – fellowship foundry – windstone – shells – pictures – brass bells – feathers – good luck coins & pressed coins – Coach purses and accessories LOL – wood boxes many of which house my rocks and fossils and crystals – metaphysical books – herb and gardening books ….and memories.
That’s all I can think of for now.

March 14, 2010 at 4:08 am #766978Here is one of my collections besides Windstones…
Jars of sand and shells from different beaches…Each jar is a different beach. The jars came from where I used to work, they are gallon salsa jars.
My large wicker basket full of shells…The large pink Conches are from my Gramma’s collection. She had 4, and the large Welk shell was hers too. The large Abalone (2) in the back of the photo are from her collection as well. There is a rather large coral under all of them too. The large shell in back came from an antique place that I happened by one day on a drive. The Triton and black Murex, also the small Abalone are all from Ron John’s Cocoa Beach store.
My Spider Conch, and the pair of Giant Clam shells I got for $2.50 each at a junk shop. I thought it was a great find as they are about 7 to 8 inches in length. 8) Also my jar from St. Augustine Beach.
The rest of my odd’s and ends that are out of the bags. I do love my Cowrie shells though! Especially the weird and odd colored ones…I just haven’t added any of them yet.
And here is the small collection of starfish I have so far. I just bought 4 large ones from ebay for $20. They range in size from 9″ to 13″. The largest ones in the basket are 7″. I also have a large piece of netting to hang and put the large starfish in. I can’t wait to finish the 2nd floor landing off.
I hope to add more along the way, and I would love to add a jar of beach glass to the collection, but they just want so much for it on ebay.I don’t want machine tumbled, I want the real thing.
