I would not think that Windstone would care about telling us after it’s sold and paid for. Unless they think it would spark someone to try and go steal it??? π― π― I hope no one here would do that.
I can see it now someone would be lurking in the bushes waiting for the delivery!! LOLDecember 30, 2006 at 5:16 pm #520737Greater Basilisk wrote:Ski, how on earth could you paint one of these in an hour?
He he heh…Base coat? LOL! All I used to do was pull it out and slap whatever colors I wanted on it.

That is exactly what happened with the one that just sold. I had made such a mess of it, the only way I could salvage it was to paint it black and start over! (I am glad I did!) And you have to start somewhere, Mimi…unless you just dont like to paint?
Actually, I’m kind of intrigued by the idea since everyone seems to be having so much fun! But I would have absolutely no idea of what I’m doing (I’ve never painted anything before in my life) so the prospect is rather intimidating. I think if Melody eventually came out with a kit that included instructions and the paint I would try it…

Kit-Schmidt! I had never picked up a paint brush before these guys came out. You can do it! And it is fun!! I dont recommend the griffin, though…it is hard to make him look good. I do recommend the dragon and the Ki rin. The Ki rin is the least intimidating, but I think the dragon is easiest to paint. I may just have more practice now, though. I would start with a Ki rin.
Oh! And Nam did do the tutorial! It helped me esp with picking suplies.
December 30, 2006 at 5:24 pm #520740I simply do not have time or room. I will have more time in July NOT much but some. I also have 4 cats and do not have any place I could paint or leave it to dry without worrying that the cats would harm it or run into it and get paint all over there fur. once I get my garage cleaned and organized maybe I might be able to try something

I think Windstone probably wouldn’t want to say who bought it unless the buyer specifically gave them permission, since that the auction was with “private ID”. Additionally, if someone on the forum bought it and chose not to reveal that, I think Windstone would want to respect that.
December 30, 2006 at 5:28 pm #520742I did not think about that. I figured they did it so no one on here would feel bad bidding against anyone else but once it’s said and done I personally would not think there would be any harm. But I would totally respect if the winner wanted to stay unknown

Aaaaaah….now you’re getting me tempted… π Thanks for the tips. I have zero time right now, but I might give it a try at some point when work is less crazy. But wait — Cheryl and Nirvana are trying to get us sucked into World of Warcraft! If I get sucked into that there will never be any time… π
December 30, 2006 at 5:30 pm #520744LOL! Poor Mimi! Make more hours in the day! Somebody!

What you said most likely would be the case, but I think one of the main reasons that they did the “private ID” thing was so that if someone did feel uncomfortable bidding against other forum members they could do so anonymously…

Hey — we need to find a planet that spins more slowly!
Either that, or I need the rich husband…

I would put the PYOs ahead of gaming, Mimi. On the PYOs you have a beautiful finished product at the end. Much more satisfying than some silly digital score that a hacker could just as soon give you in ten seconds as you could make it in ten hours.
