So the last of it is up now basically. I added a Flion the other day, but I still need to upload pictures of it.
So we’re almost all done! It’s going to feel weird not going home from work carrying cardboard boxes from the receiving department so I can box up Windstones to ship… or organizing photo galleries and updating ads on my days off. I think I’m going to need to bring a basket of cookies or something to the ladies at my post office. I’ve seen them a lot lately and they’ve all been so nice and helpful.
Loved seeing the photos of pieces in their new habitats as well ^_^ Thank you everyone!

And btw, I figured out what’s going on with the horn (you warned me about it beforehand), it’s slightly bent. If the box you sent him in was his original, the painter could be a Shaun Jones, does that ring a bell for anyone? And was Noble Knight Games ever a seller of Windstones (could be they sold it on ebay tho, for all I can tell, they have something about trades on their site)?

I just used one of the boxes from his miniature shipments to box up the Kirin with since it had no box. Noble Knight games sells miniatures for dice games.
He’s never painted a Windstone although I’ve tried to convince him to give one a try since he’s pretty decent at painting his miniatures.

I feel like the painter is a forum member or a former forum member because I vaguely remember the name from somewhere.
I have been going through early Forum messages – very interesting. According to an old list of birthdays, the official Forum birthday is June 30, 2006.
DDVM commissioned a Clydesdale unicorn from bluepony78. It seems likely this is the same unicorn. Quoting a message from bluepony78 (dated July 1, 2007, unfortunately the accompanying photo has disappeared):
“ddvm- Clydesdale markings, blaze, 4 socks, purple and green jewels. Sorry she has no horn, my camera battery was dying, and I wanted to get a picture taken before it did dye, and I will retake it if you want to see the horn (it’ll be shipped unattached…)”
I LOVE THAT UNICORN!! I’ve always wanted a Clydesdale and my favorite color is green! If you ever want to get rid of that one or the dapple grey one in the back let me know 😉! Whoever painted those are truly gifted painters!
It is possibly the one from bluepony78 as there is a date of 6-07 on the bottom.
The dappled grey was done by Brianne M. Sifert in Oct. 2008. She is/was on the forum and if I remember correctly did the unicorn using pastels. I just can’t remember her forum name. I can’t remember if I commissioned it or bought it after she finished it and put it up for sale.
Both of them for now are in their forever home.
